Mercedes G500 4×4² is one vehicle that really didn’t need any help when it comes to power or style. But then came Mansory, a tuning house that thinks otherwise. G500 4×4² stands tall on its own 4-wheels fairly well. People at Mansory have already had their way with the 6-wheel version of the regular 4-wheel G-Wagon. The new Mercedes G500 4×4² by Mansory comes with more power and more lightweight carbon fiber components.

Mansory has added a bunch of carbon fiber parts on the front of the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4². The usual aluminum bonnet has been replaced with a full carbon fiber bonnet. Other than that, headlight bezels, front grill, and front apron are also all carbon fiber. Move to the sides of the car and you get carbon fiber side door mirrors and door handles. But then there are carbon fiber wheel arches as well. This is where one starts to think, ‘was it really necessary?’

But this is not it. The newly tuned 4.0-liter twin-turbo Mercedes V8 now makes additional 62hp. The total horsepower comes to ‘sensible’ 478bhp. You can thank Mansory’s Powerbox and sports exhaust for the power bump. The car now makes 524 lb-ft of torque.

The new Mercedes G500 4×4² by Mansory is no doubt quite different from what its original model. But such cars are only attractive for the rich and famous. No true off-roading enthusiast is ever going to buy such a vehicle.
