In the latest development to switch consumers from CNG and provide a cheaper alternative to petrol, Ministry of Industries is now focusing on promoting Hybrid Vehicles in Pakistan. Auris is the first Toyota with a BMW diesel engine
It was reported that BMW and Toyota have entered in a partnership to share technology with each other. BMW will provide diesel engines to Toyota while the later would provide BMW with its hybrid technology. In the wake of recent devastating Japanese earth quakes and Tsunami, Toyota has decided to offer optional AC outlets on JDM (Japanese domestic models) next year allowing customers to plug in various household appliances.
