Suzuki launched its latest generation of its much-loved Alto in December 2014 in Japan. People have already started to import these cars in Pakistan, and the average sale price for a used Suzuki Alto 2016 is a tad above PKR 1 million. It is quite evident from the exterior of the new Alto that Suzuki has intended to make it retro, and it feels like 2016 Alto is a shout out to Suzuki’s successful Suzuki FX cars.
New 2015-16 Alto is powered with a 660cc engine and either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. From the looks of it, this Suzuki 660cc Alto is going to be yet another hit. But it seems like, Suzuki is not just yet done with it. It has been known for some time now that Suzuki is working on a Works version of their new Suzuki 660cc Alto.

The details of the Works Alto leaked on the Twitter. Works Alto was put on display at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. Suzuki hinted they would be launching it in Japan on 24th of December. Although Suzuki has said the Works Alto is exclusive to the Japanese market, you can be assured there will be a handful imported to Pakistan as well in a couple of years. We love our Suzuki cars here and love them more if they are fast.
Outer dimensions of the Works Alto are same as the regular Alto but comes with a lot of upgrades like different and sportier body kit, bigger alloy wheels, rear windshield spoiler, LED and fog lights to name a few. The engine is also an upgrade. As mentioned above, normal Alto comes with a 660cc engine. In Works Alto, the engine has been turbocharged and produces 64 bhp mated to a 5 –speed manual gearbox. Suzuki 660cc Alto will also be offered with Suzuki’s ALLGRIP 4WD system as an option.
