Thankyou all for the comments,
This was a very hard decison to make but a neccesary one, because the front door pillars have rusted extensively, and the roof sides were too, i tried to contain the rust but that did not work. The roof pillars and thr sunroof have a lot of rust. This vehicle has two major accidents, front and rear, the front was repaired and maintains its integrity, while the rear was unfortunate, the rear shakes and has no strutural integrity, the rear doors have been welded extensively and seem to have started rusting too. Summing up the total damge, there was no roof structural integrity, neither vertical pillar, nor rear end. I took a lot of time to think through this project and decided its time, redoing the vehicle in its exact original form is not possible, for even expert vehicle builders. My decision is based on the fact that i love this vehicle, i've ridden in it since i was 12 and on. I certainly want it to last 20 more years than the 20 years it has spent as a formidible vehicle. This is a daunting project that some people consider deemed undoable, i'll take my chances. As for whats up next , is that i will be building up a ladder frame from hollow rectangular full length bars to integrate a new vertical pillar support cage for the roof and cab, and be redoing the horizontal pillars with new metal welding. I'll keep the pictures coming as i progress through the project. It will be long, frustrating, expensive and tiring, but i think its worth all that. Thankyou all.
