i am not a big fan of keeping things simple and unmodified, my car had an A18 engine and it sucked ass, didnt rev properly, didnt do anything properly.
i mean if you want a placid luxury automobile then i guess its fine for you, i didnt like the stock suspension of the accord because it was too soft and nice,
when i got the car it was all stock and i felt like i was driving a granddads car.
then the engine went bust and instead of spending some money on the same kind of stupid slow engine, i found myself in the market for a vtec,
my 1st choice was a b16 or b18 but surprise surprise, engines werent available and even if they were no one knew how to wire them up properly. after considerable time and effort we came to the conclusion that a d15b would be a better option, after getting the engine in the car, we had to do a couple of more surgeries to make sure that the engine was properly balanced and in the end it was.
after that the suspension had to go, so i got some almost brand new tanabe suspension and all of a sudden my accord could take turns at 90, and shallow turns at over 110. rim and tires came next and i wouldnt recommend anyone to get 17's for the accord, they hit the inside of the fender too much and load up the cornering, if you get lightweight 17"s then yeah those are awesome but apart from that waste of money.
i have a video of my accord in a race with a 88 civic with a d15b and my car narrowly looses. ill upload that in a while if i find it..
