XLI 2006 VS XLI 2010 AC Cooling

Can any body noticed that new shape corolla i-e 2009 onwards models AC cooling is compartiviely less then that of old shpe corolla i-e 2002-2008. can any body tell me why?

yes ur right, sumwhere @xulfiqar bhae mentioned that the 9th Gen Corolla had imported A/C fitting, While the 10th Gen has its A/C made in Pakistan

and somewhere i have also read that the 10th gen corolla has a relatively smaller compressor in comparison to the 9th gen corolla. and i agree, the cooling of new corolla isnt as gud. surprisingly, the new gen city has a fantastic AC, whereas those of idsis werent that gud in comparison to the corollas of the same generation

I think ac of both models are good enough make sure you replace the ac filter i guess its replaced at 10,000km or its 20,000 i am not sure.

a/c of last gen of corolla was awesome... may be the larger cabin of new one also slows down the cooling process...

btw... WHY ON EARTH are u posting this thread at this time of the year?

new generation 1.8 altis ac is equal to cultus ac in cooling. if u dont want to sweat u must keep the fan speed to 3. reason is that the rotary compressor is somewhere made in THARPARKAR, Pakistan.
and the ac in new ivtec city is very very good, even much better than old shape altis.

well i previously had a 2007 xli...n yes its ac was chilling....city ivtec and civic 8th gen are also equipped with nice chilling air conditioners...city idsi and 7th gen civic 's air conditioners are not at par with the above mentioned cars.....and this statement is based on my personal experience!!

I own a 2005 myself and use official 2011 (facelift) for field trips and I did not find its ac lacking

As per words of Rozzzzz, level 2 of the current shape would match number 1 of the previous. I myself wholeheartedly agree with you Waseef.

I did not find any cooling difference between both generations of Corollas. AC of current 2010 model is still awesome like the old shaped Corolla.

i felt old rollas ac to b a lil more stronger if compared to new one! city idsi ka ac is not very chilling wheras all civics have got a very nice cooling! city 2002 has a nice ac if it runs for a longer time period but in frequent short trips its not very good!
