The Azadi Train started a month long journey from Peshawar on 11th August and its last station will be Karachi on 11th September, 2014.
Azadi Train arrived at Quetta Station on 30th August, 2014.
There were 4 compartments in Azadi Train, 2 compartments of the train have been allocated to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) to the various aspects of The Freedom Movement and services of Armed Forces. 1 compartment is allocated to Pakistan railways highlighting their history, another compartment been allocated to Ministry Of Information. 6 floats on the train represents the culture and tradition of all provinces and AJK.
Because of the current law and order situation of Balochistan the train was escorted to Quetta in very tight security.
