AoA Fellows,
Although I am on pakwheels from last three years but I am new to this section. Like every other guy I have urge to explore natural beauty of Northern areas of Pakistan. I did explore some of them e.g. Naran, Kalam, Kailash, Chitral in student life back in 2004 & 05. Later due to job and some other priorities I couldn?t keep up with exploring. But now finally I along with two friends of mine have decided to plan a short tour in coming Eid holidays, I though it ll be better if I seek guidance from nature explorer of pakwheels to properly plan it. So I am looking forward for your recommendations /guidance.
A brief details of us and what we are up to is as under;
No of participants: 03
We will be starting our journey from Lahore
Journey to start on July 31[SUP]st[/SUP] or August 1[SUP]st[/SUP]
No of days: 4
Mode of traveling: need your opinion, we have Suzuki Cultus in good nick but I am inclined towards public transport because of the fact that one of us can?t drive, other has always driven LHD car so I think it ll be too tiring for one person to drive during whole trip, however, I open to suggestions.
Place to visit: Initially Naran was on my mind but last night at pakwheels GTG @usmanshani & @mansoormajeed highlighted the fact that Naran has been too much commercialized and recommended to visit Kashmir. I really liked their suggestion so place is Azad Kashmir now.
None of us has ever been to Kashmir so we don?t have any idea about the places and route map.
I need your inputs on followings
1 - Selecting the route map
2 - Places to visit
3 - Where to stay (name of hotel and contact # if possible)
4 - Link of some helpful threads about same locations
Our objective is just to enjoy nature, not to visit too many points in one go and end up in a tiring journey. We all are physically fit, masha Allah and can take on some mild trekking.
I think it is turning out to be too boring & long in one post. Lets have your input.
Thanking you all in advance.
Happy touring J
