MIAN MANZOOR WATTOO GIVES 10 DAYS TO CAR MANUFACTURERS AND CAR VENDORS TO REDUCE CAR PRICES Islamabad November 04, 2009 Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo Federal Minister for Industries & Production held a meeting with Car Manufacturers and Car Vendors today in the committee room of the ministry. The Minister expressed his severe concerns over increase in the prices of the cars, black marketing and unavailability of cars in the country. Mian Manzoor Wattoo gave 10 days time to Car Manufacturers and Car Vendors to reduce the prices of the cars, make availability of the cars in the open market immediately, stop summarily own/black marketing on cars and ensure manufacturing of spare parts of the vehicles according to the time frame settled with the government. The Federal Minister categorically stated that the country’s elected government and my ministry would leave no stone unturned in the growth of country’s auto industry and keep running its wheel. He said that we respect the industrialists of the country and protect their interests as well. I extremely feel that the public is furious over the behaviour of the auto industry of the country therefore, the auto industry must set right their matters to address the problems of the public within the given time, he added.

I mean otherwise, what would they need 10 days for? One meeting, one announcement, that's it! They're not going to start cutting off the costs and manage to bring them down in 10 days anyway.

yar kutch nahin honay wala is mulk ka ,, that's just a publicity stunt from govt. so show how caring the govt. is , yahan chineee kay lalay paray haway hain , aur in ko garyoon ki pari hawi hai. Govt should Just do one thing , reduce import duties to a level of 2005 2006 then auto manufacturers will becompled to reduce prices

* wait !! few months later the deadline for ending load shedding
was shifted to December 31 2009
*recently as December approaches it is now moved to June
2009

I agree. That is the only thing that needs to be done. We all know who increased the duties. We also know who increased the duties the first time as well. Same person! The percentage has changed however...

Toyota just increased the prices by Rs.30,000, others will increase too as the dollar price is increasing day by day. What do you think MANZOOR WATTO wants to benefit the public/consumer. NEVER He will get something from the companies and will be silent.


Secondly what if Toyota decreases the price by Rs.15000

Nothing can be done here. No implementation of law basically. All are corrupt and look for self interests.
