Depends on what you call well maintained... i bought 05 in 730K. My defination on well maintained was extremely perfect car. When i bought that car in 2013, even its seat polythene covers were not removed...
bro which variant is urz & is their coil problem in every baleno?
Sent from my iPhone using PW Forums
Mine is 05 JXR. No it is not there in every Baleno...but yes it is not that uncommon too....I have two. 04 JXL didnt had this problem. 05 had this issue but i repaired its coils and now they are working like charm too..At around 100k km many need to replace or repair coils and then you are good to go for another 100k kms....
bro how to check if it has coil issues & any other imp thing needs to be checked bfre buying
Well coil issue are not there in every baleno a well maintained one will never give coil problem my uncle has about 240k on odo with no coil issue but if your mechanic likes to change plug without unscrewing coil and you like you get you engine bay serviced when engine is in hot state then yes baleno habe coil issue btw same coils are been use in galant/lancer/evo with zero coil issue reported and the supplier for suzuki amd mitsubishi is se denso it all about maintainance
y do some ppl including baleno owners says never ever gets it's engine bay washed? is it due to coils or some other issue
Again this is not only for Baleno, its for every Efi car as these cars have lot of sensors and electronics in engine bay which could get damaged by washing...but that does not mesn that as soon as you will wash engine, it'll stop working but as a caution you should avoid it. I do sometimes wash engine bay because no matter what you do you will have to wash it sometimes to clean it but then i let it dry for several hours and also use blower to wipe away water from electrical connectors....
Pop hood of santro and you will see a big warning sign that don't wash engine bay with water it not just limited to baleno
thanks for the input @ nightshade & saboor bhai, lastly would u recommend baleno to be better for uni use in budget 650-675k or should I consider liana too?
Other than resale issue liana is better option
Liana is a newer car, it would be easy for you to find it in a good condition.Resale won't be an issue as you would be buying a 2nd hand Liana already depreciated...2nd issue is token tax. For Punjab registered car it is 6000 for Baleno, Gli and City as they are all less than 1300cc(1298-1299cc) and 12200 per year for Liana as it it 1328cc which though is not much only 6000 more for an year but still that pinches me why to pay more when you would be getting performance of 1300cc car from it...
Liana also means more kharcha, baleni had got a more sturdy body. I would prefer baleno over Liana
Sturdy? do you mean more stronger body means baleno have stronger body than liana right? If yes than that a news for me
Yes that's what I meant
Nah body wise liana is much stronger (saying on basis on crash test) through baleni looks are much better
Better handling, more power, better ac,softer seats, more room and on the top of all ff CNG which use to give me one km in 2.5 rs of cng I think its worth it but as the guy is student then baleno for sure
wont be buying a cng vehicle so what would be the average consumption of baleno & liana on petrol with & without a/c?
I use to get 11-12km/l with ac on local on long 14km/l with very heavy foot and ac with liana baleno does almost same in local on long route baleno does a bit better about 15km/l
Both cars are roughly equal in almost every aspect....but as Liana is a newer car its interior is much more modernly designed compared to Baleno....i simply love its unique Red dashboard backlights....
