well then mates,..i had the test drive today, was a white 2006 1.3L Version, and to be honest, i have mixed kind of feelings....
the car looks cool...the interior is well made and beautiful to look at and feel...the drive is comfortable and smooth
however,...i had a big problem with the tachometer placed awkwardly in the center...may be i am not used to it,..
and 1.3L felt a little underpowered (on CNG)...the gear shift was just ok but nothing like what CVT should be...but then when i shifted to petrol...difference was more than evident! suddenly like it had some gatorade or some other energy drink,..the pick..awesome...power awesome...speeds of 150+ easily achievable...transmission and gear shift...silky smooth...a totally different and beautiful picture altogether!
so there is nothing more that could say that these cars are not meant to be CNG-ed..and to get the maximum comfort and performance, one should stick with petrol..
but given the economy and the stupidly high gasoline prices,..i have this affinity for CNG! and i think i cant help it...
(BTW i have a civic 05 prosmatec oriel which was CNG-ed like 3 years ago, and trust me...CNG has been wonderful in that car,..a tankful gives me 100 +/- with airconditioning in city traffic!)
so,..i have to reflect upon this experience and make up my mind and then proceed accordingly....
i just wish that our government figures out a way to bring the petrol prices down,...even if by just a little bit...
