Yesterday my meharan 2007 got heated up. later on it was found that a hose to the engine inlet is leaked and water is not sustaining in radiator. Should I drive the car to workshop or bring mechanic home. Temperature gauge was just shy of red mark while driving.
Depends on how far the mechanic is from your house. 1-2 km is fine, after that, NO.I personally drove a car with leaked radiator and everything with coolant to do gushed out for 1 KM. Just keep it in low RPM's and appropriate gear.
that pipe can easily be replaced by you.drain out all coolant/water.unscrew the clamps, take pipe off from both ends.take the very pipe to a good shop and buy an exact shaped new one.reinstall it yourself..fill with water and start the car.keep a close eye on temperature needle.the auto fan should kick in at half mark or little before that.if temp needle keeps climbing up,shut off the car and bring mechanic home because you might have damaged the head gasket.but over heat once should not have caused much damage if needle kept below red mark and you didnt drove it like it for long
Is it ok if I fill in the radiator after one to two kms. Access to the pipe is very difficult so I cant reaplace it myself. It should be accessed from below and I dont have proper tools and the facility

Depends on the severity of the leak.If you remove the radiator cap it will keep pressure from building and the water will leak at a slower rate. You could even use some duct tape to get you to the mech
Guys thanks for ur kind reply. Took it to the mechanic and he replaced the faulty hose :). Temp gauge is showing this level after coolant filling.
Is it ok or should I bypass fan thermostat.
also Mechanic was insisting to bypass fan thermostat
This is NORMAL temperature for Mehran. Bypassing thermostat is not really recommended. But I dont see any harm in getting it done in mehran because it tends to get hot during summers.
its normal and you should not bypass the T-valve
thats good that you got it done. and no,you should not get the fan direct!
no cher khani to t-valve
Edited - You already got it fixed. Temp is amount right. Keep it that way.
Replace the thermostatic valve with new one as a safety measure, use common sense.
