Default SAFETY TIPS 4m PBC, Pakistan

7 8 6

Some tips from Pakistan Bikers Club & Its affiliates:

1) You must wear a correctly fitting helmet at all times, and it MUST be fastened.

2) Wear properly designed jacket and trousers, zip together, so that if you slide off then the jacket can't ride up and leave the back unprotected. Though in

Pakistan

proper coverings are not available but you can use some materials available for sports, that really suit you.

3) Good gloves designed for motorcycling. If you fall off your 'bike, or get knocked off, you automatically put your hand down to protect yourself as you hit the ground.

Pakistan

has a good variety to offer for this.

4) Always wear good boots, designed for motorcycling. Support to the ankle is important and can't be dismissed. We have different options, may be of low standard or supportbut still it will work.

And remember .... no using the mobile 'phone while riding!

And remember .... all the above is applicable no matter how short the journey!

now I hope all join us.

i have some reservations on "PBC" and its members...

i did visit ur fourm spotted in "ROAD TRIPS/OFFROADS/VACATIONS"

and your topic tittle is "PBC BIKING TRIP LHR TO KHEWRA MINES"

PAKISTAN BIKERS CLUB just did vist the khewra mines on bikes........

HERE R SOME PICS FOR REFERENCE

there were no properly designed jackets and trousers on PBC bikers

thers were no good gloves with PBC bikers except one member @imranbhatti had kindda gloves but wasnt bikers gloves.

there were not a single boot in PBC bikers foot (DESIGNED FOR MOTOCYCLING).

AND U ALSO SAID IN UR TOPIC

And remember .... all the above is applicable no matter how short the journey!

@ RX115
v true, but 1 thing i tel u for this plan, i keep target at 100 foot height,
try to set high targets in trips, try to check physcially, if u belive me, then plz understand that I am very much successful in my plan that started even b4 PBC
n yes, everything is in process as learning never ends, so we are always trying to add something in every coming trip,,,,,,,,,,, but remember, everyone has different resources to generate same thing,,,,,i hope we do little better next time,,,
btw, 1st safety measure is best possible speed,
then No Wheeling, then No irresponsible biking, then Helmet a MUST, even in city Tour, then Side Mirrors a MUST
n most of the members are regular practitioners of all this above.
we thank u for reminding us
now I hope that a senior Rider like you will not only point out but also add something. . .
and plz mail such things directly to us, make topics heavy with productive materials
n plz inform us about ur good practices like we do e.g., Speed, No Wheeling, etc etc
hope for ur support

a couple of tips
-white colour helmets are more visible to other road user. In fact WHITE helmets reduce your chances of accident by up to 28%. These are stats from America. We have no stats yet for this country, perhaps the Association of Road Users of Pakistan (ARUP) could wake up and work on this?
-Keep your headlight on at all times, day and night. Motorcycles are small objects on the road, and careless drivers frequently do not 'see' you; leading to accidents at times.
-As far as I know there in NO law prohibiting the use of a headlight on a motorcycle during the day. Know your traffic laws, and be prepared. Remember safety first, above all else.
-I will stress the importance of functioning brake lights and indicators. Remember, if you expect others to use them, so should you.
The practice taking indicators, mirrors, and instruments off a bike is silly and juvenile. They are there for a purpose, use them!

@RX115

Critic is always help full for those who wana improve & we always welcome it. Even Malikg have replied u but I wud also like to add some thing,

Ur concern of using proper riding gear by PBC is quite valid, but considering biking trend here in pakistan its not quite easy to Adopt international rules & Habits for Motor Cycling all of a sudden . Let me remind u the time wen we form LBC (Lahore bikers Club) ~ 3 years back we started with ordinary bikers (I mean we all were typical Pakistani style Bikers) Bikes of some of the persons are hardly equiped with Fuel Tanks & Seat only ( No lights, side mirrors, Helmets, Instrumantation Panels etc). But we started with aim to adopt & promote Safe Motor Cycling.

We keep improving through this time & Alhamdullilah Now atleast our Bikes are equiped with all necessaory working accesories All members are wearing atleast helmets & observing speed limits & obey traffic rules.

Adopting good/Safe riding habits are quite difficult thats why most of the bikers didnt join us & many memebers also left just bcoz of these restrictions or u can say they didnt want to adopt these safety measures.

So refrence to start point we are very much developed in terms of Safety.

Regarding Safety Tips recently shared by Mr. Zahid Malik, We have just anounce them & we will try our best to implement them in our club as well Insha Allah.

If we consider price of proper motor cycle riding gear it will cost us 800~1500 $ which is even more than the price of bikes owned by us. So we r still working to get some cheap Riding/Safety kit so the members can afford them easily. I m personaly trying to contact some local maufacturers to provide us with some cheap but quality products.

So Insha Allah soon u will see us adopting some international standard Seafty Measures during our routine riding.

@ romano

The Tips shared by u r quite valid & we r considering to keep bikes head lights ON in day time atleast on high ways.
