Hmmm India does have some exciting 2 wheelers from all the 2 wheeler brands.

But then someone in Pakwheels said that the kind of Sporty models sold in India won't be accepted in Pakistan. It seems that they are too sporty and have raised seats which won't be able to seat Pakistani women on them.

Its really frustrating to see Yamaha Pakistan launch these late 80's machines (royale in particular) as new offerings in 2010. I mean does the japanese have some grudge for Pak customers?

its not grudge its our crap policies which prevent them from investing here.
DYL is not japanese now . Its owned by dawood younis limited and yamaha had ended its agreement 1.5 years ago with them
honda is mostly running under atlas division thats why they r doing ********
Just see the international model of honda cg 125 its equipped with 5 gears + self start and can go upto 150km/h
u can see the diiference in cars where honda brings new model every year.
but in bikes the monoply of atlas honda prevents them to do so.

Default why we have same old shape bikes

due to my knowledge ( i may be wrong )the current bike we got in pk are road bikes, these bikes are specialy made for pks envoiment, road condiations and for style, these bikes are easy to ride, maintain, cheap spear parts n easy to servise them. imagine if we have any 250cc bike with kit and if u drop it and dimage the kit it will cost u more where current bikes u diamge less. another thing, there are more number of people who ride bikes in traditional clothes then english clothes, so u can imagin people riding 500,600 cc bikes in traditional clothes. last and most important thing is sports bikes means more expensive bikes, maintinance, expensive parts, tht means more then 60 or 70% people cant afford that.
so i think these are the main reasons that we dont have or get sporty bikes

    @babaisboss

yeah u r right to an extent, but i m comparing our bikes with INDIA, and their the points u have mentioned are pretty same..

road conditions are not that much good there.
poverty is also their, not everyone cant afford, but still they are cheaper there, they wear traditional cloths... even they have 100CC 150 125CC, and its still with kits, and with state of the art meters and stuff...

    so y not here..!!
yaar chalo they r not suitable for everyone, but there must be a sports category of bikes, now dont say DELUxE is sporty..

The urban roads have improved in leaps and bounds over the last 5-10 years. Proof, India also has a large market for automatic scooters which needs good roads to play on.

The poverty is way down compared to 20-30 years back. There economic success story of India is becasue of a HUGE GROWING middle class over the last 15-10 years. Proof are the international kind of motorcycles/scooters and cars made and sold in India.

the real thing is that 30 years back when we enjoyed imported bikes in pakistan like honda , kawasaki and yamaha etc frm made in japan. The people in india looked to us in the same way as we look to them now. Their government didnt allow them to import bikes from japan and that was a cruel time. thats why they started doing their own R&D on bikes and cars and result is that 90 % of hero honda is indian built+they have patents for many technologies which even Japan didnt introduced Like DTSi engines fuel injections on small engines of 125 etc.
As an example look at the suzuki GS150R model of india. lot of the bike work is done in india apart from suzuki japan and u can easily say that our suzuki Gs-150 is a piece of crap in front of theirs.

Rome was not bulit in a single day. their is a huge effort behind indian bikes. Similarly if we want to improve we have to develop our own R&D
