Thumbs up Honda CD 70 engine re-making

    Hello Brothers,

How are you? I just came to know yesterday that in Multan Honda CD 70 2010 model is 69 thousand without registration... So it's too much I guess.

Now I have an interesting question, tell me suppose I get a CD 70 2008 model for 40 thousand around and remake it's engine by a very good machanice OR the Honda service ceters "the official ones" ....

After making engine would it be like same powerful as 2010 model?

This is the simple question, please answer n if someone has some details about it, I would love to hear.

    Thanks,

    Faisal.

All depends upon the mechanic and the quality of parts used.
If the engine is remade by a qualified mechanic in a proper way using original/good quality parts then it will perform just as a new/sealed engine.
One of the most difficult things in the world is to know how to do something, and to watch without comment, somebody else do it incorrectly.

And please tell me if I use original Honda parts , what would it be like cost? to me for making engine?

Original Honda parts plus the machanic fees?

    Thanks,

    Faisal.

The cost depends on the parts that need replacemant.

Original Honda parts plus the machanic fees?
Rates vary from mechanic to mechanic,
I paid 1500 to my mechanic for just the engine rebuild.
Original Honda parts like piston,rings,valve/valve guides are quite expensive.

Alright but still an average like I buy a Honda 2008 model, it is on road since 2 years, now what are the possible parts that I need to replace in order to make it new, and secondly How much would they cost if bought of original honda company not lifan or any other ??

Thanks for replies, they are really helpful to me.

You are looking for a 2008 model alright?
Why are you thinking of getting one in poor condition?
You can get a nice decent bike with low mileage which has been driven with care and there would be no need for the engine rebuild or parts change.

yes it will compete the 2010 model if and only if the engine is built well.
if you are planning such a thing i must suggest u one more way i.e
First buy a 2nd hand old bike round about 20000 make sure the chassie is excellent then start your build off.Hope you would enjoy!!!

Caution:This type of project needs knowledge and time!!!

    @ faisal
even a ten years bike can compete with a new model if rebuild properly ,
and 2008 model in good condition doesnt need rebuild that early , other choice for u in same price is suzuki sprinter 110, its also a nice bike
