Proof of Ravi storm 125 as being Chinese origin

Since the day one of introduction of Ravi storm 125, its marketers have always tried to lie on the question about:

Where its engine and other parts are imported from?

And the answer is like this stated on their website:

Ravi Piaggio 125: is it 100% Italian, Imported or Local Assembled?

The Ravi Piaggio 125 or Ravi Storm 125 is designed by Italian Engineers. Its 80% parts are imported and 20% parts are manufactured in Pakistan. Being as an OEM standard manufacturing concern we are also manufacturing 10% parts in our factory (Ravi Automobile). The bike is then assembled in Pakistan.

somehow, they always forget to mention that they are OEM of ZPFM China and not of Piaggio Italy. The same abhorrent policy has always been applied by their supporters all the time even knowingly that what they are claiming is a lie.

It has always remained a debate on Ravi Piaggio threads but the stubborn headed persons have always refused to admit that its a motorcycle coming from ZPFM China.

In the past mamehmood and sbrana of Ravi motorcycles also tried the same policy on their forums, but they could not withstand the proofs provided by the Pakwheels members and eventually agreed on that its a ZPFM China product. One of the oldest Ravi Storm 125 thread was closed at the request of mamehmood who could not withstand the questions of its buyers.

In recent days, some members are again lying and boasting about Ravi storm 125 as not being coming from China.

These so called fans are trying to proof that this motorcycle is either being manufactured in Pakistan with the collaboration of Piaggio Italy, or its engine or other parts are coming direct from Italy. But the things are opposite to it.

Though most of the guys know its origin, and they have always bashed the liars, but still some of the marketers always try to make others fool, and even ridicule the honest riders which hurts a lot of people.

I am making this thread so that every body will once and forever know whats the truth. I think I have enough proof to claim that I am right. I will also ask my fellows to support me with valid links and information so that we could proof that right is always right.

to OP .. i agree on some points but my virews are different on others..

First thing first.. there are 3 things to be of prime concern
1: Design of engine and therefore bike esp frame body etc
2: Manafacturing of parts and their standard and quality f parts involed
3: Sales and service

if u read history of biking then u will discoer that honda was like todays chonda in 60's ,70's until 80's..
reasons were that honda had no markting,no sales service, etc loadsheding k bad but after they ovewrcome these hurdles they r on top.

now the most important part of any product is its design,, it should be a near perfect design.. a design lays out how each part looks and behavous.. how thwe mettalurgy of each part should be.. what composition of parts to use.. and what are the stresses and use materials that bears these stresses..
now coming towarsds ravi poiagio.. from the few media news items its safe to say its desiggnewd by piaggio or there engineers . so if its made under piaggio specs whether in china or india or pakistan it should be made using parts that confrrm to those that are validate by designers..

in case of chonda most parts are copy/replica of honda engines.. theyt are clones.. and these chondas are hybrid of various honda designs.. now regarding ythere partrs only honda did experiments or its partners did experiment or shared there knowledge in particular area with honda what should be the mettalurgy of each part.. so the otriginal recipe is with designner ..i.,e honda.the clomnes are notr using exact same mettalurgy or compositiomn because they do not have the recipe or design houses to doi so.. but another important factor is that these metallury of itewms is noyt top secret or honda unique in most cases its generic alloys or metals treate some known methods.. so that is in other words open knowledge for manafacturers.. and using this loophole if u wish the copiers are creating parts haing same mettalurgy..or near same ..or exceeding the quality of them.. by innpovating something theirs..

so by assuming ( i think safely assuming that the ravi engine is piuaggio designed made in china y zhongshen or whatever.. it should have same standards to comply ewith .. and piaggio to make it certain that it is the case should have shared / tranasfered the technology with zhongshen.. and if they are in partnership which hey are they have that technoilogy or equivalent or better ... so being made in china doesnt means its chinese..and never it is as its the design that realy means "made in " ..

so i shold say its italian design m,ade in china.. [ i say only this about engine] .. i cannot call it cHonda as its not a copy...

nother thing that sets apart one bike from another is its sales and service.. due to which honda is honda nowadays.. had trhere been no such thing by honda it wont have been it..

anyhow.... the big conclusion is that its design that matters .. a design sets what it should behave like and what it should be made of..
you can see the latest intel motherboards on which its written "made in china" but that doesnt makes that board a chines item.. because its design that sets the framework of any item..

i had a lot o dicussion with few poeoplew who would behave like ravi agents like mahmood and they said they are ravi guys.. dont know the truth if they asre or not.. i also put same question to him about its desing and where its made.. whether its a ripoff knokoff or something real .. and if its show some proof.,.. but they woint listen a=nd woulkd drag on in unnevessary discussion.. i wasted a lot of time with those guys.. lewssomn learned..
dont trust them .. dont give heed to them.

and personal opinion based on reviews on this forum from other memnbers and few trials and checks from fellows that i meet on road....apart from few pesky issues its good bike... had t same sales service spares availabilty there would be 19-20 dfference between avi and honda...

The new marketers of storm 125 are taking advantage of this closed thread as if this thread would not have been closed, every body could read the background of it from the start.

Reading from page 6 to 10 is enough proof for its being a chinese origin of whom, firstly mamehmood was denying but atlast had to admit that its a ZPFM product.

I would also upload the relevant parts with images to make every body know about its being CHONDA.

brother about design i have yet to see any international variant of this bike. i have seen some but they are of suzuki gx125. these two bikes are like ditto copy.

I agree to you asjdsm. Those 3 things are more important rather than the origin of the product, but there is one thing more and that is gaining loyalty and trust of the customers, but do you think that we can trust a company who is even trying to fool ppl by hiding the origin of their product (even on their official website).

I can compromise on all the three things (though 2 and 3 are a piece of crap), and you know that I was the first who bought this motorcycle back in 2009-2010 but the company representatives and their fans behavior has always been like such as they are trying to fool ppl by hiding the truth.

This is not acceptable by any means. Companies reputation are not built by this way.

Anyhow, in this topic I just want to give proofs of Storm 125 as being ZPFM chinese.

Need a lot more replies and likes like these from other members, so that once and forever no body would dare to promote their product by propaganda and by posting irrelevant images or links. We should also try to stop any person who is trying to lie on any thread and should also try to make part of our habit not to lie to others either just for fun or to serve our own purposes.

Agreed that Honda's quality has deteriorated over the past few years. My 03 Cg125 is still far better than several 11 models I have seen on the road, but still when it comes to the engine Honda leaves others far behind.

The problem with Chinese products is, China adds much pomp and show to a hollow product. Consult a mechanic and he will tell you that the front wheel hub of a Chinese bike develops cracks in it within a year while a Japanese bike's hub will be running good enough for a decade or so. Same is true for the sophisticated engine parts which in China made engine leak away and are melted whereas in Japan made engines such a problem is few and far between.

These among others are the reasons that I am a big nay sayer to the Chinese products.

BTW, I also have not any interest in Storm 125, as I sold mine in 2010, but someone somehow always pulls you in the mud. By images it looks like that ZPFM have copied this design and have used byq-125 engine in it and exporting to Ravi Pakistan

RAVI has FINALLY been EXPOSED FULLY. It has been stripped in front of everyone. We all know that Piaggio Italy has NO parts coming in Pakistan for Storm 125. It was a lie and this is the reason for almost ALL users of Ravi Piaggio having various issues like dancing fuel gauge, falling off kick starters, poor paint quality, noisy chain covers, leaky seals and valves, broken engine side covers and what not. I have friends who own this bike and NOT ONE can say that his bike is problem free. Koi na koi issue hota hai es bike mein.If only Piaggio Italy comes and invest in Pakistan then we will see how quickly AHL and Pakj Suzuki will be forced to either bring better products or get out of market. I am anxiously waiting and hoping for Yamaha Japan to come in Pakistan market and bring great bikes. I hope this happens soon. Amen.
