    Thumbs up Piaggio Again!

    Salaam ,
I have recently bought my new 2012 Ravi Piaggio Storm 125 and that is my second bike. Last year I had same bike in Silver colour. I sold that to buy a car and have now purchased that again. Hope I am breaking "the trend" .
The color of silencer changed to matt black and sound is a bit more heavy. Rest of it is as good as it was and will be (Insha ALLAH)

I am sorry about pics as I am not a photographer.

Deluxe light with visor doesn't suits at Piaggio and keep your bike stock don't make any rubbish mods on it like fairings or big visor and big boom boom exhaust.

@ Syedhassan.. Dont go for deluxe wiser .. It makes bike look crappy.. If you really want to mod your bike and keep it close to eye candy then do followings..

    1. Clip on handle bars. This must be your first priority
    2. Change its plug and ignition coil to good one .. Especially plug
    3. Change the rear tyre Something like
    this
4.The front looks owsome.. Just install HID
    5. Change its silencer to sporty type
    6. Change the chain cover

Something like this.. This isn't over modded as i said

can someone explain whats the utility of clip on handle bar. Can we move it upwards or downwards like the ordinary one to set it according the the riders height and

whats wrong with the original plug that comes preinstalled in it.

    UPDATE....
Got my oil changed at 700kms . Used Zic oil this time ( heard a lot about that oil). After 795kms i i took my ride to Islamabad Highway ( thats a long patch of road) and top speed came out to be 120 kmph. Well!!! the road ended after that
ok this is my third day i am dragging the bike to top speed and then again running it for 3 min on same speed it drop it and then again take it it to maximum. Now the sound of bike has significantly changed. Can any one help on this... what is that????

The engine is more smooth now in running....
    Pick is good
    Fuel consumption increased a bit
havent got the bike tuned yet, waiting for the shpos to open after eid.
    Bike has done 1000kms......

    Question

And tell me one more thing, I tried the bike taking it to maximin with two ways....
    1. drag it in gears and change after the max rpm.
    2. normanlly take to rpm max to 8...... in 3,and 4th gear and then shift it to 5th gear. this way bike accelerates more quickly.

so which one is more efficient and what should be the next step... like should i take my bike to a long route after tuning or what????

Dragging the bike wont be a good idea.. Just shift the gears smoothly, 8-8.5k RPM is the best to shift to next gear.. Try engaging 5th gear as much as possible.

Shift the 4th gear at 10K rpm.. and after engaging into 5th gear drag it as much as possible.. give it a long run. Give the rest to back ..

And after first tuning.. Take your bike to long run.. and dragging the bike isnt the good idea.. as it stresses the engine.. may be you can do it once a week to do masti.. But it effects the engine negatively.

hassan the bike in your use holds a "HIGH compression Engine" so dont worry if you are cruising at 110kmh with RPM hitting 10k best shifting for long tours is 8~9k RPM .... but if you are dragging and racing with pals and buddies then shift on 9~10k the next engaging gear will get more rolling power...

but do keep in mind hitting redline RPM (for paiggo = 10k+ RPM)again and again will bring you closer to mechanic more rapidly then you expected! So only do hit top speeds when you really need to do it... secondly its safe for your self too!!

thanks, actually silver knife suggested to change so i was just asking. I usually dont drag it to max but just as part of break in procedure. You are absolutely right, i just saw an accident two days before and that was horrible. I usually drive between 60-80 kmph,
