My detailing arsenal, finally has a good n proper range of products
A common question would be.. should one prefer a synthetic wax? Or a carnauba one? Well.. having used both I'd say it comes down to personal preference.. but both cant be compared...
I compare them as follows:
Shine: Synthetics can shine better
Depth: Carnauba gives more color depth & wet look
Protection: Synthetics attracts less dust and shine longer however carnauba can help prevent swirls or minor scratches
Finish: Carnauba can hide minor paint imperfections like swirls and scratches, whereas synthetic wont hide scratches at all
Safety: Carnauba are safe for paint mostly, synthetics more often contain cleaners/abrasive agents
Ease of use: Good synthetics can be easier to apply and wipe off
Verdict: For me a good quality carnauba is a must have for its protection, depth and safe frequent usage.
Synthetics though (specially abrasive ones) come handy when applied once a while after 3,4 months.
