Aoa all,
This is my very first post in PakWheels forums. 2 days back i bought a new Suzuki GS-150. But i am getting a bit conscious or sensitive about it. I would be very thankful if the experts could answer my following questions:
a) Its a general understanding that while the bike is in running period you are not supposed to run it over 50-60 Km/h but as soon as i got out from the show room with my new suzuki i drove it upto 100-110 Km/h for some minutes. Would the engine be damaged or the pistons would be effected by this possible mishandling..? What should i do now...? Though i have not observed any strange behavior yet.
b) Secondly i have noticed that when i start the bike through self start it produces a sound of scream for just a millisecond, the same sound is produced when i turn the engine off sometimes. Is it a inherent problem that is making this sound. (While i was on the show room i started another bike but it didn't produced any such sound).
c) Is it allowed to carry another person with you while the bike is in running period. If so, at what speed should i drive.? What should be the speed if i am driving alone..?
d) What are the general tips to boost engine performance and increase life of my gs-150.?
e) The braking system is not that much efficient. Even with combination of both the brakes the bike slips when trying to stop at high speeds, the rear wheel just danced yesterday when i tried to brake at a speed of 40-50 Km/h. What are the possible workarounds of this problem.
Thankyou for your time for reading this. I am looking forward for the expert opinion as i am a novice and am trying to be a part of this tremendous community of PakWheelers.
Thankyou.
PS: I would be uploading pics soon of my suz gs-150.
