I am planning to buy new bike. I am more concerned about: 1) comfort: as I have height of 6 + , have to travell 50 + km from home to office and back and there is a patch of 2 km which is all a mixture of dirt track, worn out road, bumps etc. so I need a bike that doesnt tire me, makes no noises on bumpy roads, and is durable and has best suspension. (aam zaban main jaldi kharrak na jaay aur jhatkay na maray aur maintenance bee kam ho ) 2. Economy: gives more fuel economy. 3. performance: pick, power, accelration is at number 3 and doesnt makes a diff to me. I just want a top and maintenable speed of 90 + whatever I love suzuki gs-125 but its not economical as compared to 100 cc. I dont know about its durablility and comfort. I think that its height is less than that of 100 ccs bike and after six months its sporty seat will bend then and will give an uncomfortable ride. Please guys and bike lovers help me out There is another topic where a person bouht cd-100 with these comments " wasy I just got CD-100 (comfort) it's real comfort, good hight, heavy, so safe gripyy, fantastic heavy look great meterail ......it's new great work by honda 41 changes...they realy worked hard on it.... what r the 41 changes and is cd-100 reall comfort

go for suzuki 110 it gives good fuel economy plus suspension is good.. its better in all aspects than honda cd 100. but if u could compromise a bit on fuel economy then suzuki 150 is very nice n comfortable bike.. i would say chose between suzuki 110 and 150 dont go for cd 100

Thanks brothers for quick replies, but i need further information please.
I have seen a lot of comments from honda lovers and suzuki lovers and yamaha lovers. (I dont know why there isnt any chinese bike supporter). Any how I love suzuki gs-125 and gs-150 classical look. Dont know what is suzuki future in pakistan or there parts are available in pakistan. Even the dealers 150s side bike covers were missing. I think we cant get full parts of gs-125 or gs-150 easil. Any how these r real beauties. I wonder why hashimsiddiq has not commented or suggested about gs-125. Is that not worth mentioning. Now to my problem I am keeping yamaha since 1990 and my bike is still its in orginal engine with just piston rings change 1 or 2 times and gives me around 40/ litre. but i think its time to change. About suzuki sprinter: U guys suggest that its more comfortable, econmical and powerful than yamaha and honda. Ok I agree to economy as on tv ads it shows that it runs to 73 km /litre, so we can safely conclude that it will give an average of 55 with good maintenanc (oil change, tuning) even after 2 years on average speed (60 to 80). It has very little resale and i can bear that bc i am not gonna sell it. I am not even selling my yb-100 1990 which i drive these days with original engine and only piston ring change once or twice. but my questions are: 1) is sprinter 110 spare parts available from dealers. by spare parts i mean every thing brake shoes, seat, shocks engine parts (every thing u can imagine) even they r expensive. U know if there is one dealer we are at his mercy for parts and price (yamaha and honda parts have diff story which goes from no 1 to no 6). And here in pindi there is only one suzuki outlet and the dealer was saying its for whole north area. 2) I have learnet from a lot of other topics from this forum that suzuki sprinter 110 seat is hard and tyre touches the mudguard so is that problem solved now. I alone weigh 90 kg, and wt about doubling. hashimsiddiq said that its suspension is good but didnt mention how its better than yamaha and honda. what about this person There is another topic where a person bouht cd-100 with these comments " wasy I just got CD-100 (comfort) it's real comfort, good hight, heavy, so safe gripyy, fantastic heavy look great meterail ......it's new great work by honda 41 changes...they realy worked hard on it.... what r the 41 changes and is cd-100 reall comfort

Go for Suzuki GS-150, Petrol average difference is only 10 kms / liter from a 100cc, but that Bike is strong and comfortable, good for 50kms running. For a few rupees more you ll reach your destination with a little more Safety

Really, if there is only difference of 10 km in average consumption i dont care. I think gs-150 will give me around 40/ litre and my old bike is also giving average of 40.
I am surprised why ppl are not buying this beauty. I just see 1 or 2 bikes on the road very rarely. I hope it will change. but looking at the gloomy side, thre are following drawbacks anyone please clear them Is gs-150 parts available in market. I have seen gs-150s without side covers. are they easy available. what about brake shoes, shock absorbers, chain set and other such things like head light, back light, indicators, seat filters and other things are they available in market. if there is any mechanical failure or some problem in engine who will provide parts for those. what avearge this bike will give after 2 years. I dont know about karachi and lahore but in rwp, there are a few bikers who have 150. why not any body suggest about gs-125. is that bad. Thanks

if you are looking for sound, I think chingchi 4 stroke 100 cc has better sound than any other bike including yamah 4 stroke, cg 125 etc.
If i am on road, I can tell that its a chingchi due to its hard beating sound. Check out ur self. Suzuki is different, I like it due to its sound because it doesnt make any noises and thats the fun part for me. peace of mind on long journey and it doesnt annoy other ppl.

@bike junky
i had a suzuki sprinter 110 ( non eco ) ...it was one of the best bikes i rode...it was fast...and highly economic...but in ur topic you mentioned about ride comfort...so that it lacks due to a very hard factory seat...im sure that can be adjusted via local "POSHISH MAKERS".. however the new Metro MR-125 is worth considering as well...but my first choice would be the sprinter 110 (non eco) with no offense to the views of other riders...i prefer performance over SOUND...and thats the only reason i got rid of two exhausts on my bike and merged it into a single one for better accelration...so i'd suggest performance over looks/sound (Y)

Nice looks of the bike.
Now I am getting confused. Now there is metro, super star, ghani in selection. I aready know that ghani bikes have good looks, but its the same chinese engine of 70 cc, and I am not going for less than 100 cc. I was making comparison between yamaha, suzuki, and honda. If these bikes are selling at double price of the locally assembled bikes then there must be some thing in them. I pray to GOD that Pakistan may excel in every field including quality bikes that can compete with international market, and we feel pride in purchasing them. I can bet that if Government bans japanese bikes even then after 10 year we cant achieve the international standard because every one wants to make a quick money and we need to change that attitude. Just take a little example: rear wheels shock absorbers are a very small thing. they work just like a hydraulic piston and are used to slow down the decompression of the rear wheel shocks springs. Those were worn off in my yamaha bike. I went to market and the mechanic told me that I should change them as springs are allright. Now when i went to buy them (locally called shock piston), they were numbered form 1 to 6 with diff price (thats an attitude of the dealers). I bought the one which were of the highest price and made by a very big steel company that I dont want to name. Soon, after I fixed them, I knew that those were not any good than the old ones. Even the old were giving better resistence than the new one. Actually, one of the old absorber had leakage and the other was allright even after 16 years of usag. So, I am very disappointed. Just making something is nothing, making it perfect and with quality is the thing. I thing bike making in pakistan is just like pakistani film making. Even the quality of nut/bolt is not up to the mark because of usage of low grade material and they become rusty after few months. Local industry is good in a sense that it is providing cheap bikes and due to it the prices of japanese companies bikes has also reduced, but in my view it cant compete with international market for the next 30 years.

Now to my problem
I am keeping yamaha since 1990 and my bike is still its in orginal engine with just piston rings change 1 or 2 times and gives me around 40/ litre. but i think its time to change. yes change b4 it chnages ur mind willfully About suzuki sprinter: U guys suggest that its more comfortable, econmical and powerful than yamaha and honda. Ok I agree to economy as on tv ads it shows that it runs to 73 km /litre, so we can safely conclude that it will give an average of 55 with good maintenanc (oil change, tuning) even after 2 years on average speed (60 to 80). well remember: wat i think : sprinter: more comfortable, econmical and powerful than yamaha and honda. well i think sprinteR is more econmical and powerful than those, but some say that Seat is little hard due 2 its tough Style/design, n i think these bikes eco speed will b 40 to 45 max, n avg will b i think 60plus but if consider Sprinter ECO than its comfortable due to diff seat but i don know shocks, but definately MOST ECONOMICAL in more than 70cc category n POWERFUL also, eco sped 40 to 45 n avg will b 65plus Insha Allah It has very little resale and i can bear that bc i am not gonna sell it. And here in pindi there is only one suzuki outlet and the dealer was saying its for whole north area. well, the speed on which suzuki bikes specially spritner n eco r sleeing, parts will b more easy w masspage of time, moreover their qualiuty is better u ll beed after some time ok? n remmeber cd100 has parts prob. even having 100dealers 2) I have learnet from a lot of other topics from this forum that suzuki sprinter 110 seat is hard and tyre touches the mudguard so is that problem solved now. I alone weigh 90 kg, and wt about doubling. yes, but i don know current situation, well if there is no solution then y v see too much suzus hashimsiddiq said that its suspension is good but didnt mention how its better than yamaha and honda. well its good, v hav checheds many times, but cd100 was developed w gr8 care for suspension , junoon w gr8 care for style, they fogot 2 redesign Silencer lolz what about this person There is another topic where a person bouht cd-100 with these comments " wasy I just got CD-100 (comfort) it's real comfort, good hight, heavy, so safe gripyy, fantastic heavy look great meterail ......it's new great work by honda 41 changes...they realy worked hard on it.... what r the 41 changes and is cd-100 reall comfort call mr Adil Dar of LBC X General Secretary of LBC. @ 0321 4614 876

@ foosa
I totally agree with you foosa. only sound is nothing. The main thing in a bike is its performance (pick, topspeed), comfort/suspension (for long riding and for a person like me 6+), reliablility (braking),durability (wear/tear). Then comes style (looks, beauty) and economy (for paki ppl). I dont like 125 sound bc i drove it once and it made my headache (phit phit hai total). i need peace of mind. besides 125 sound doesnt match with other heavy bikes or sporty bikes (it is one of a kind). coming to suzuki 110, seat is no problem for me I am getting used to it bc of my old yamaha. I might bear that or change the seat foam. What about the shocks. I've learned that its rear tyre touches the mudguard on bumps and with heavy wt. Thats a very bad thing. I wont like to change shocks of my new bike with shocks of some more height. Is that solved. Pleas tell us all the drawbacks of suzuki bc i know the +ses and would like to listen -ves. one -ve is resale, what r the others. Thanks

@ bike junky
good to see ur interests in suzuki bikes..now here are my ansers to ur queries... i personally like GS 125 and mite prefer it over a honda 125...i ve heard GS 125 gives 45-50 kmpl....has great suspension and comfort and all that....but the thing is when u can get a 150cc engine with same merits after just spending a few more bucks, i sdont think 125 is a good option....and yes GS 125 is also 5 speed... Sprinter, well i have two of them....seat is terrible...i had mudguard prob, but in new models its quite beter now...i dont think its a prob anymore....the pick and acceleration is awesome...style is there too....parts are a bit costly, but i bet u'll never be in need of one if u ride with care... my suggestion...go for sprinter if u can make an agreement with HARD SEAT or can get it softer.... or go for GS 150....

@Bike Junky, dont get confused , buy Suzuki 150, it has self start and has a comfortable ride (according to owners here) its strong and all the parts are available (it is Suzuki) and @Poppat Turbo travels on it from Multan to Lahore every other day ! i myself am thinking to buy 1, this seems to be the most safest bikes among all others available. The only reason im not buying it is that riding a bike in Karachi city is very dangerous.
Again i would say "Safety First" buy a more stable bike !

well i had just the seat problem with my sprinter...the shocks were fine...the problem with resale value is that ppl in pakistan are just brand crazed zombies and unfortunately honda has created enuff brand awareness among these zombies that all they crave for is ...HONDA...HONDA :|...so i guess thats a major issue with suzuki that they have yet to create the ZOMBIEness among the ppl..overall the bikes from suzuki are far better than the bikes of Honda...so i'd preffer the suzuki over any other make found in our country
