Default PBC (Pakistan Bikers Club), Pakistan

PROFILE: PAKISTAN BIKERS CLUB, PAKISTAN

I started riding in about 1993, but must tell you that proper riding in 1997. After more than ten years I founded a club known as Lahore Bikers Club (15 Jan 2007, 50pm) using a well known platform of PakWheels.com. Since then many great bikers have joined me and more are always welcome.

REASONS

Promotion of Safe Biking:
During my riding experience I have seen many bikers doing irresponsible acts. Due to which whenever we talk about a young bikers we assume him as a biker involved in dangerous stunts or a person who does not care for himself , his family and society. I wanted to change this perception but practically. I wanted them to be a part of a group who is very much careful and only accepts safe biking. So, its all about you and its all about promoting safe biking.
Promotion of Tourism in Pakistan:
Because of safe biking and strict rules for trips we have and will reach all types of places of Pakistan. Then we do and will forward those beauties of earth to other world through own website, our favorite PakWheels.com and all types of Medias available. This way we will help our country in promoting tourism.
Help People of Pakistan by gathering Experts:
There are many things, which can be handled ourselves instead of going to a mechanic and paying him our hard earned money. I wanted to gather experts who can have discussions with general public in Get togethers or by net discussions or e-mails for small issues of their bikes for some techniques for maintenance etc. Alhamdu Lillah we got success in this field also and are proceeding day by day. Moreover, we have plan for assessment of Pakistan made motorcycles on basis of their true performance. This way we will be able to help buyers to make decisions on facts and practice.
Pointing out Low Quality Products:
We also try to find out and point out low quality products and inform general public for their best interest. We have plans to proceed in this side also.
To help Government Bodies in Promotion of Safe Biking etc.:
We also have plans to join Government institutions like Traffic Police in promoting safe biking. We have designed some brochures / flyers for same purpose. We also have plans to ask other stake holders of society to come up in this regard.

Future Plans:

Our first and most important plan is registration of a club which has no boundaries, which has members from all corners and all ages. A club which will have a proper Executive Body. A club that will promote many things but all will be done NOT FOR EARNING PROFITS FOR MEMBERS. It will be a club which has a Noble Cause for people of Pakistan at the same time for Pakistan also. Afterwards, we want to join hands with other stakeholders of society like Government, Corporations etc etc, because we cannot proceed alone in such a huge project of promoting Beauty of Biking and Beauty of Pakistan.

RULES OF CLUB REGARDING BIKING, GET TOGETHERS, VISITS ETC.

As in case of Lahore Bikers Club, we have almost same rules and regulations in Pakistan Bikers Club regarding biking, GTGs, visits etc. But these rules can be edited after approval of Executive Body Approval.

RULES & REGULATIONS:

1. If any one wants to be a member of PBC, he/she will have to complete all the formalities mentioned (or any other to be mentioned), otherwise there is no hard requirement. For Trips and any Important Project it is Compulsory to be a member of Club and in case of a Mega Trip of more than 1000kms (aprox.), he / she must have attended one short / medium trip or six months or older member.
LAW / REGISTRATION OF PAKISTAN BIKERS CLUB

A- If someone is found to be breaking Rules & Regulations he will have to face strict actions to be taken against him / her. And if proven guilty, his / her membership may be cancelled.

B- If someone is found to be showing irresponsible behavior regarding any issue and is noted regularly even after warnings, he /she will have to face same things as mentioned above.

C- If someone's membership has been cancelled because of any reason weather described above or not, he will be allowed to get membership of club again atleast after one month from the date of Membership Cancellation.

2. Mr. Muhammad Zahid Iqbal Malik is founder and will possess same or alike designation in club. More designations will be given as per procedures mentioned in documents of Registration.

3. The membership fee for the Club will be Rs.500/-. No one will be exempt from this. Incase the club needs funds, the fund raising will be done in best possible way.

4. Road racing and Wheeling are offence now, so we condemn this, and agree to not to promote such things. Any member involved in such things will have to leave the club but after a solid proof.

5. Every member for his / her own safety and as announced by the Government of the state, will use Helmet, if we find proof that a member does not use Helmet, he / she will have to leave the club.

6. Whether we are in open area or closed, we the members will make sure that our freinds or relatives joining us will not make any mistake that can be dangerous to their lives, other members lives, general public, and properties of all (specially bikes of members or freinds or relatives), moreover if someone has got an extra ordinary bike (even normal too) he/she will give to non member (friend/relative) only after approval of Founder (which includes confirmation from the member for safe riding of his freind/relative). Incase, there is some kind of loss, the decision will be made with the consent of the house / Executive Body. 7. Now is MIND YOUR LANGUAGE & USE RIGHT WORDS: Explanation: Whether we are in a GTG, Trip or any other event, we all will use the right language in right way. No matter we are talking to our members, or general public. We will not use any word that can create problem of any kind for any one. Going against this Rule will result in serious Show Cause Situation.

8. PBC will try to keep arranging GTGs atleast once a month to keep the members Fresh about Bikes knowledge, LBC issues, Biking Tips etc etc. This way new members will easily adopt the Biking style of LBC, instead of informing them on Spot during Trips. So, from now its compulsory for a member to attend GTG just before a trip.

9. PBC during its trip or any other projects, will make sure that all the rules and standards of related authority like City Traffic POlice, NHA are met and observed.

10. Any person declared to be the Head for a specific project e.g., Trip will try to make economical and good quality arrangements in all terms.

NOTE: More rules can be added as per need and consent of Executive Committtee.

Mr. Nauman Ai Sheraz (Advocate High Court) has joined Lahore Bikers Club and has presented his services voluntarily for the Registration of Pakistan Bikers Club and afterwards. Now, Pakistan Bikers Club is in registration process as an ASSOCIATION OF PERSONS. Soon it will be a registered club of Pakistan and perhaps one of its kind and first biking club without any commercial reason. The main documents for registration will be Memorandum of Association and Article of Association which will reflect the procedure for selection of members of Executive Committee or other important procedures. Along with this the most important will be an Executive Committee that is required by Law (from three to twenty members) and we will have to select those members from all over Pakistan. Last but not least, that this club will let the bikers of all times meet each other and share their experiences. Moreover, the Bikers who join us this time will be known and mentioned as Founder members, hope you want to be one of them.

For your registration
with us we have decided a very nominal charges of Rs.500/- for everyone. This will be joining fee and will be incurred for clubs expenses. As this will be a Non Profit concern so all the cash of club will be used for necessary and clubs very own plans. In case the Club needs more funds in future, our first attempt will be invitation to sponsors, after that we would request members to participate nominal amounts but after approval of Executive Committee. So, get ready for the take off and be a member of a club that is one of its kind.

Things we need

Deposit Rs.500/- in bank account, or PO or DD of Rs.500/-, or Cheque if local,

Atleast a 100CC bike will do the work ... because with a bike less than that you will:

1. Not be able to keep up with the group.

2. You will get more tired as compared to others as smaller bikes are more uncomfortable.

Today i was reading an article and just came across few good tips for safe riding so thought of sharing with all of you... Most them we are already aware of

  1. Always wear a bike helmet
  2. Stop and check traffic before riding into a street
  3. Don't ride at night
  4. Obey traffic signs and signals
  5. Ride on the left-hand side of the street
  6. Check your brakes before riding.
  7. Give cars and pedestrians the right-of-way
  8. Wear light or bright-colored clothing so that motorists can see you
  9. Be extra careful turning right - motorists don't expect it
  10. Avoid broken pavement, loose gravel and leaves - which can cause you to lose control of your bike.

Riding in Wet conditions
  1. Reduce your speed by 20%. You do not have enough traction to brake hard.
  2. Ride behind one of the vehicles brake lights (not in the middle behind his number plate). If the car should stop suddenly you can slip your bike past him and therefore earn a few more meters to stop your motorcycle.
  3. Brake with your rear brake first and then progressively pile on the pressure on the front brake. If the rear wheel should lock up, LOOK UP, LOOK AHEAD, GO STRAIGHT. Yes, the bike will fish-tail around but it should remain controllable and upright.
  4. Keep your bike more upright when cornering. This is not the time to countersteer and knee scrape.
  5. Keeping your tyres on good surface. Avoid puddles and places where the tar has risen to the surface and covered the embedded pebbles forming a shiny-smooth surface. Never ride on the painted surface of a road (even in the dry - make this a riding habit!) .
  6. Avoid manhole covers and large steel plates near roadwork. Go very slowly when turning through intersections as there is more oil here due to slow moving traffic than anywhere else. Lean forward and keep lots of weight over that front wheel.
  7. Only stress your tyre traction moderately and then only in one direction at a time e.g.
    - Brake in a straight line and then turn,
    - Complete the sweeping bend and then pile on the power.
    - Release the clutch fully and then lean the motorbike over into the turn (especially true for single and twin cylinder motorcycles).
    - Apply the rear brake first (and more than usual) and then brake progressively on the front.
  8. If you are going to ride in the wet for an hour or more, decrease your tyre pressure by 25%.
  9. Do not ride through puddles where nails and other sharp objects can accumulate. A wet nail penetrates a tyre more easily than a dry one!!
  10. Know your limitations. When the rain, hail, lightening etc becomes a danger, pull off and wait for it to pass.

Mirrors

It is accepted that despite two rear view mirrors, a so called 'blind spot' exists. A fast moving car travelling in your blind spot also represents the most danger to the motorcyclist. With this in mind here is a strategy for setting your mirrors.
  1. The two mirrors must not show the same traffic. What is the point of seeing the same car in stereo?
  2. The mirrors should be set so that there are no blind spots.
  3. If you can see part of your shoulder or arm in either of your mirrors, open the angle more so as to see more of the road and less of you.
If we accept the three points above then the right hand mirror should cover the blind spot only. The left hand mirror should show us the road and traffic behind us.

This strategy means that a car first appears in our left hand mirror. As it leaves this mirror it appears for the first time in your right hand side mirror. As it leaves the right mirror it moves into the peripheral vision of your right eye.
