Never use X air freshners. That brand's fragrances are not that pleasant and are extremely strong. A new air freshner has been introduced. I forgot the name but is an American brand and costs Rs. 150 and has the shape of a pine tree. I have found its lavender scent to be the most pleasant. Also use air freshner spray if you so desire. In the summer season, I use Sparkling Citrus air spray by Air Wick and in the winter season, I use French vanilla air spray by Glade.
In order to clean the interior/dashboard etc. I use Astonish Black Shine restorer. It is marketed as a black tyre/bumper/trim cleaner but have found it to be an excellent overall cleaner and works extremely well in cleaning Dashboards of all colours and door interior (also including biege, gray colours). It wipes out dirt with the greatest of ease. Does the same job as a detergent soap but with better results and ease of use. Just spray and then wipe off with a clean cloth. It comes in a black bottle and costs Rs. 140. I then compliment the cleaning with Radiant polish spray for shining the interior. It costs Rs.120 and does a brilliant job. If you're budget permits, you can opt for the Turtle dashboard spray which costs R.s 450. My personal suggestion is to opt for the Radiant polish spray as it is cheap and does a pretty good job at shining.
