Cool Meguiars - Engine Bay Cleaning

Ok, let me admit that I am really conscious about keeping my ride's engine bay clean! Although I keep cleaning it on regular (almost monthly) basis, but this time it was with Meguiars!!
I am just attaching the 'before' and 'after' pics, for comparison. Let me tell you guys that this stuff is really awesome! Although its price is also equally awe-full! I washed and polished the car with the same product but that is a different story. Luckily, I managed to acquire genuine Meguiars, recently imported from UK.
    So here are the pics:

    BEFORE:

Meguiars - Engine Bay Cleaning -393327

Meguiars - Engine Bay Cleaning -393328

    AFTER:
Meguiars - Engine Bay Cleaning -393330

Meguiars - Engine Bay Cleaning -393331

Meguiars - Engine Bay Cleaning -393332

Meguiars - Engine Bay Cleaning -393333

For your info, I used following products this time:

    Enjoy!

    Good good.
    The engine bay looks excellent.
Any idea from where can I get this in Islamabad/Rawalpindi?
The engine bay of my car is in horrible condition.

    Thankyou!
How is the shop running under the new management?
    I'll definitely check it.
One more question, how you cleaned the engine bay?
You sprayed the solution on the engine bay and then used a cloth to wipe it off or did you use a toothbrush or any other brush for cleaning?

Brothers, there's nothing technical about cleaning engine bay.. you have to follow the instructions given at the back of the product you are using....
IF you have been cleaning your ride's engine bay.... like..once in a few months, things are much simple. BUT...if you haven't done this in a long time, or you bought a used ride that has a 'seasoned' dirty engine bay.. it's going to be tough!
In my case, I already stated that I regularly clean my ride's engine bay. At least once in 3 months. So it was a simple process for me. I did five things:-
    1. Covered ECU and Generator with plastic shopping bags.
    2. Poured (not power-sprayed) lots of running water on entire engine and engine bay.
    3. Sprayed Meguiars Cleaning Spray on everything under the hood and left it for about 5 minutes. Used a thin brush to agitate few difficult corners.
    4. Washed everything with running water, and than removed those plastic bags to clean parts covered before with a wet cloth.
    5. Sprayed Meguiars Dressing on every thing.

    @Celica
That's how I did it. If you need to learn the process of engine bay cleaning irrespective of the product being used, go on Youtube and search. You'll get whatever info you need. In this thread, I was just trying to give a 'before' and 'after' comparison of my ride's engine bay.

You may ask Dubai Autos to send it to you through courier. I am sure they must be doing it already.

get a proper battery for your car, you have an "RHS" battery in there.

Did you clean the underside of the engine too? applied any metal protectant?

battery terminals are oriented differently. they are identified as R or L batteries, e.g. the 100 series 80AH AGS batteries are named as XL100 and XR100 one is left side mount the other is right side mount. All battery models have these codes and every battery vendor knows them too.

the left side mount batteries are shaped like

    _____________
    +ve ---- -ve

    _____________

the right side batteries are designed like

    _____________
    -ve ------ +ve

    _____________

for some reason they are coming out stupid on PW - anyway you get the idea right. its quite odd that the owner of this car has a RHS battery in his civic, 80% of all small batteries in Pakistan are LHS and 80% of large ones are RHS - maybe the battery vendor had this for a long time and wanted to sell it.
