Sunday Newspaper Ads for Car Sale

I see lot of ads every sunday for selling cars. Is this system works well or just waste of time and efforts. ? Plz post your experience if you have sold/bought car through the classified advertisement of a Newspaper.

well few people do not like to get there cars selled through dealers and pay commision. whats the other options left? newspapers i guess. a clean car with a reasonable demand should seel easy through newspapers

I baught my City 2001 though ad in newspaper. It is a great way to buy cars. And ofcourse one does not get to listen to those all the time lying salesmen who would sell you anything as long as there is commission to be earned.

Moreover the price of cars baught this way is generally lower than the price of same car at the dealer plus ofcourse the commission.

When I was surveying to buy my car, generally there was a difference of Rs. 50,000/- or more that was being demanded by the dealer.

yes no doubt its a very clean way to have or sell cars. as u met directly with the buyers or sellers in this way. i have sold one car and got the reasonable price. and i bought the car as well in a reasonable price.
yes guys are right these dealers inflate the price too much. also in direct sale purchase one can judge the other whereas as far as dealers are concerned they always tell lies.

In Islamabad and Rawalpindi ad in Jang, The News and Dawn newspapers is very helpful and most of the people benefit from this service. I sold my Khyber 91 in just 20 minutes, first thing in the morning after I posted ad in Jang, Dawn and The News. The dealer who booked the ad did not charge for Dawn and The News, coz ma ad was missed for weekend edition and was put in Tuesday's newspapers.
