wt sort of amp to go for in 9k?

Aslam o alikum guys


im looking to buy an amp in about 9k price range.currently im using a crunch 500w 2channel amp n n im not satisfied with it,running a 12inch sub n a paire of jvcs with it.


before that i had a audiobahn 1600w 4 channel amp which i sold n made a stupid mistake.im planning to sell my crunch but the question is what amp should i go for???


the problem im facing is the sound gets distorted at high volumes


how wud u rate this crunch amp keepin in mind that ive to run,


a 12inch kenwood sub n a pair of 6 x 9 speakers


any suggestions would b welcomed


these r the stuff im using for the time being + 2 pairs of door speakers which r directly connected to the player

this amp not bad .. but the problem is that u r not using it correctly as its 2 channel use it for speakers or use it for woofer..

well i would suggest either buy another 2 channel amp and use that for speaker and use the current for woofer by putting it on LPF... or wise versa..

or exchange ur amp with a good quality 4 channel amp and use 2 channel for speakers and a bridge connection for woofer...

u can buy a seperate mono amp for the sub.

i c a sony pre ..which i think it has no crossover or a sub out wid basic options ...start wid a good powerfull headunit always ....


secondly ur getting the mids in ur sub becoz in ur setup speakers and sub both are running on full crossover u cannot tune ur speakers to hpf and sub to lpf at a time....so find out a 4 channel amp if u r not intended to change the sub....but if u want to add another sub or any SPL then buy a heavy 2 channel amp or a D class mono

maggi suggested me to eigther go for another 2 channel amp or a 4 channel,id go for a single 4 channel amp

if u get a mono amp now u can than easily use a bigger woofer in the future (trust me one day u will want a bigger woofer )

if u get a 4ch, what will u do with ur current 2ch amp? if i were u i wud get a mono instead of 4 ch. cause u both 4ch and mono wud cost around the same

SOLID AUDIO 1600 watts.........

since i dnt have budget for a biger sub id get the amp changed first,can hardly change the amp
