Default Help me build high quality SQ system for my Honda Civic 2005

Hi everyone. I am building high quality SQ Audio setup for my Honda Civic 2005 VTI ORIEL Prosmetic UG. I need very superior quality clean sound with each beat distinguishable and audible. I want balanced center sound stage with rear fill and front stage like surround experience. Hardware configuration should be SQ focused yet should have potential to produce good heart punching bass if required. Bass level should be configurable from heard punching big bass to pure SQ bass.

    Current Configuration:

Head Unit: JVC KW-AVX826 EXAD (http://www.jvc.co.nz/assets/pdf-brochure/KW-AVX826.pdf)

    Amplifier: Solid Audio F-45 900Watts 4-Channel
Solid Audio XT-804 1600Watts Extreme Series 4-Channel (Spare Not in Use)

    Rear Speakers: Sony Explod

    Front Speakers: Company Fitted

    Woofer: Pioneer 307 D2

I will update my current setup in two stages.

I want to build the system in two stages because of money coming in phases. I had an option to build good system now and upgrade it later or build incrementally. First option is good in that I get full working setup quickly but it will not be best setup and vice versa. I will give you budget for both approaches. And you guys can tell me what to do.

    Budgets:

Item / Quick Budget / Stage Wise Budget

    Amplifier / 25000 / 25000
    Mono Amplifier / 0 / 25000
    Woofer / 0 / 20000
    Front Components / 15000 / 45000
    Rear Component/Speakers / 0 / 20000
    Wiring Kit / 5000 / 7000
    Sound Deadening / 0 / 6000
    Total / 45000 / 147000 ~ 150000

I think incremental setup feels logical choice. But I can’t go without front component right now so I have to pick some component to live with till I am ready for big ones. But what do you think?

    Budget: Stage 1

Amplifier: 25000/- some recommendations I got JL Audio A4300, Pioneer PRS-D4100F

Front Speakers: 15000/- some recommendations I got Pioneer TS-D720C, Rockford Fosgate T162S

Rear speakers: same which is fitted now i.e. Sony Explod

Woofer: same as fitted now i.e. Pioneer 307 D2

Mono Amplifier: will use either of available amplifiers i.e. Solid Audio F-45 or XT-804 to run woofer.

    Wiring Kit: 6000/-

    Budget: Stage 2

    Rear Speakers: 20000/-

Woofers: 20,000/- recommendations I have Rockford Fosgate P3

Mono Amplifier: 25000/- may be Pioneer PRS-D1100M

Front Components: 45000/- may be Focal 165KRX2.

    Sound Deadening: 6000/-

    Wiring Kit: 7000/-

I want to know will the first stage work in proposed combination till I am ready for 2nd stage up-gradation.

    I would request feedback from privileged members of PW community especially @enerlevel, @smartboy, @splfanatic,@stj174, @qureshi498, @geforce, @Lafafa.

however, serious sound damping is in order!!
Thanks man! but what about the confusions

    JL or PRS amp

and Sub w12prs or rf p3

and by two subs will it be sql level bass or spl?

    Sir

You are going for half blooded system, that DSP will take you no where with that JVC A/V system.

Pioneer PRS is better then JL.

W12PRS is two times better then RF P3, team Pioneer is using it for 3 years now in SQ competition.

1 W12PRS is better for pure SQ, Type and JL W6 are better for SQL, you can also employ 2 x W12PRS if you have the budget.

    Sir

Why do not you compare yourself.

Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - CDA-9887

DEH-P88RS-II Reference Series CD Tuner - Pioneer Car Stereo - Digital Media Receiver

If you love JVC brand this one is the better one:

JVC Middle East/Africa/CIS Consumer Home Electronics Dubai, UAE. HDD Camcorder, Audio, Car Audio, LCD

Secondly you are paying too much for Components, there is no need to buy 1,000 $ components unless you can collaborate and position them and set the crossover network which I doubt anyone can do without the equipment.

These Alpine would be more then sufficient and they will perform better out of box unless you have a LEXUS LS 600.

    Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.

You should compare them both out of box and listen them before buying, every expensive thing is not better.

Thirdly drop that center stage, seriously.

    @poster...

959 has explained things nicely. yaar you cannot use that pioneer 5.1ch processor with that JVC unit that you have. you will need a pioneer dvd unit for that...

and only go for the 5.1 processor if you are going to use 5.1 dvd movies and 5.1 recorded music DVDs...if ur only going to be listening to MP3s, than there is no point of these...

as for the woofer, 1 w12prs sub is enough. it is an SQ competition woofer. ... if u want more loudness (which is not required in SQ)...than install two of those subs. but than dampen ur boot properly...

another important thing, 300rms for ur sub is more than enough in ur SQ install when you have 80-100rms components. otherwise ur entire soundstage will be dragged down by ur woofer...

and if ur planning to make an SQL setup - than dont buy $1000 components and highend amplifiers. midrange stuff is more than sufficient....

as for the amplifier, well yar it is personal preference. i love the prs-4100f. and it was in my budget at the time i bought it, and its very power efficient. i love power efficient amps/subs (i dont plan on upgrading my stock battery in corolla). and the sound of this is amazing...although i have yet to test it on my focal KR2s...so i cant say much...havent heard the JL amp so cant comment much on that. maybe you should read reviews...that will help you....

by the way, JL is more popular for their subwoofers, just like focal is for their components....

GM is no match for the PRS, they are totally of the different breed. BTW i have tested PRS along with the all famous Zapco Reference amp. I have found the PRS to be equal to the Zapco (if not better)

and zapco amps are considered SQ amps...from what i have read...

and i admit ppl say class AB is better than class D...but more and more people are adopting class D now....so technology hai bhai...DSPs and highend OP amps ka zamanaa hai...PRS amp has very expensive Linear Technology op amps in its circuitry. their op amps alone cost 150-200 bucks ...those PRS amp are sold for around $500 bucks in usa...they are not a joke

try to get stage 4 PRS amps..they are hot!

by the way, why u want 4ch amp in the first place??
