Help Me In Choosing Sound System

Hi there, I want to purchase good quality Speakers, Some one told me that Pioneer TSA930R are the Best, Other told that JBL GTO938 are good. One Also have Kenwood 718, but I think that these are Old. I have researched myself and found these Models

Infinity 6927l

PolkAudio MMC690

BOSTON ACOUSTICS SL95, S95, S953, SX95

FOCAL 690CA1, 690CVX

but the problem is that nearly they all are above 7k to 8k. While I have the budget of 10k to purchase CD player, 2 speakers, used Amp. Any one can suggest the best brands and where I can find these in best prices???

its a a matter of personal preference. Some people like 718 some people simply hate em. Go to an audio shop and audition a few. Personally i dun like 718 and wont recon them at all.

Out of 718, JBL GTO938 and Pioneer TSA930R , i wud bet on the GTOs

By the way, Where did u find the Focals at ? are they available there in Islamabad?

well budget is low for speakers+amp+ head unit ..

i would suggest go for any decent pre along with JBL GTO speakers .. these works good without amplifier...

GTOs are 2 ohms; they prolly wont work wid pre amplifier.

yup right ... but am using it since a year now with no problem ... i connected directly to pioneer pre...

Well, I have checked focals in Rawalpindi Electronics, its in Rawalpindi. I very big shop in Saddar. May be its copy but price was near 8700 I think. Well thanx alot buddies for help. I am going 2morrow for a pre and good speakers.....
