The Hpi sprint 2 Flux comes with a 5700kv motor and a Motiv ESC. The motor has been replaced with a 6000kv motor by hobbyking. The ESC has been added with a fan in order to keep it cool given the weather conditions of Pakistan. Both the ESC and motor are 2s Lipo friendly (stock) and 3s with altered gearing.
It is a 4WD Belt driven RC with all the nessasary components like camber/toe adjustments, oil filled shocks, complete ball bearings all around in order to made the car go well above 80km/h.
The battery Pack is a 6 cell Nimh 5000 mah, it lasts for about 20 minutes with full speed action. with this battery pack I have made the car touch 48.6 Km/h (GPS). With the right gearing and 3s Lipo the car can go above 100 km/h (Not advisable though) even though they advertise the car as a 100+ km/h RTR RC.
The rear differential case has been modified in order to prevent little pebbles on the road from chewing up the rear belt. I did this the day I got the RC, and is advisable for all sprint 2 owners who drive on Roads.
The car is with its stock Rx/Tx which is not a 2.4 GHZ like the new Sprint 2
The body is of a Toyota AE86 which I bought later from a RCpak member, I added lights to the car myself and are not stock so the wiring is not as neat as you would expect from an HPI setup.
The tyres are hard compound and worn out, if you are looking for speed runs with handling I would advice you to get new soft tyres. The current tyres can be used as drift ones as they lack traction.
The car is old but works fine, It can be a very good project car with an aim to make it a fast racer.
It can also be a perfect introduction to Brushless power for beginners.
