Well I drive a manual 1.8 civic (reborn) as a daily runner and its giving me around 10-10.5 kms/liter I think thats great as compared to a city and I change gears at around 3000 rpm

Mileage in the city driving varies from person to person and situation to situation.So, you can't quote a standard fuel consumption within the city. you can only quote the fuel consumption on highways where the situations are nearly the same on most of the time.

My honda city 2010 m/t gives me 12 to 13km/l all city drive mostly short trips ! But it can easily achieve 14 to 15km/L mark

A famous member on cleanmpg drives a USDM Honda Fit, which is mechanically the same as Honda City. He has a lifetime average of 26 km/l.
It has a lot of fuel economy potential.
