More points need to be added to any realistic calculations. Do the local auto makers here care? There is no competition for them to swiftly introduce change. Either you buy the very few limited brand new options locally, or go for second hand imports.
I do not agree that all new potential buyers will switch to gli. To me at least, city does offer more value for money (not going to go into details as its been covered before).
My family is looking to get a city. I rechecked today (many times before) with my cousin (former honda employee), no new model in sight. I asked him why? He said why not, its obviously expensive to change the setup for the new city. Its beneficial for honda atlas to continue the current face lift version. There are some sale figures here on the forums, city is still doing well. For sure corolla is selling more, but the city doesnt have to beat the corolla to do well.
Btw, he himself bought a city a month ago, if there was a new model on the horizon he would have waited.
