I want to know of this obsession with the 2JZ engines all our pakistani bhai have, personally I never fancied it as its head design is pretty bad, the ports are quite restrictive. Worse are 1JZ design. To get screaming power from these engines to last more than 1 km in a full bore run really extensive work is required.
Im working with a guy here on a power build and he was also obsessed with the 2JZ till I showed him the internals of a mercedes benz M104. Guess whats being boosted??
anyway my opinion for your honda daily driver (aka trolley car) is to keep it original as its your daily car, you need ready available parts for it and repair procedures that are understood by local mechanics. It wont be much fun if you have to rummage through junkyards for the smallest of parts. So unless you are fully tech savvy - meaning that you can yourself take down an engine or trans or something else, repair it and put it back into commission without consulting then its better to stick to whats sensible. You will be quite unhappy with a weird problem (like a thrown rod) with your turbo D16 on a motorway.
