i have 95 shape japanese corolla with 2c engine(original) as u all know the price of diesel is more than petrol so its going heavy on pocket n i m a student 4age 20v swap with CNG possible or not??? - 40

.... so i was thinking to get a petrol engine with CNG conversio nso i need ur guidance ..

will 20v work with cng properly...???

what would be the cost of 20v plus all swapping charges (total rough amount without CNG)

what else i have to change with the engine?? suspension etc...??

n what would be its astimated avg on petrol n on 55 cyl(if CNG works fine) (lets say if i change gear at 3000rpm)

and remember car is gonna be use for daily drive

the reason of thinking about 20v is performance... if i m going to swap a petrol engine then why not some powerful engine... which could give me performance on petrol n economy on CNG then i think it would not be a bad deal.. need ur help fellas take care 4age 20v swap with CNG possible or not??? - 1

Why dont u try 4AFE ? It runs good with Cng and also has enough power

Swapping 20v and maintaining it will be problem and that too with CNG

I wud advise u to swap 4AFE with Stage1 Upgrades.

for good performance u can go for B16a ... G15b....and if u want more power than these then K24a.....

yaar when people are converting their LC, prado n others on CNg then why not 20v???
i think those engines r more complicated for mechanics...??

20v has 4 throttle bodies and tuning all of them for cng is very tricky not every cng guy can do that ...

yes it can be done, my neighbour is running an 88 with a blacktop and CNG. car runs fine.

,(j/k) ,as alreadi suggested go for 4afe -5afe if u can find 1 or 7afe

runs best on CNG, i thnk Palaykhan aka faizan was running 4afe with sume nos in his 88 rolla bak in days

i used 4age 20v ST BT 4age 16v tvis and non tvis and 5a 4a 7afe i will again say go for 7afe its the best i have 4afe in my AE90
