Default CNG TUNING How to do it

At times one needs to fine tune the adjustments on the CNG system.

We all know it is just a pressure regulator under the bonnet with a bypass probably in the third stage to allow for idle etc.

I never had a closer look at the thing but I expect to find just two adjustible screws, one for the setting of pressure and the other for idle speed adjustment.

BEFORE I VENTURE into it, I would please like to know if someone here actually has the experience of adgusting the Italian CNG kit. PLEASE tell us in details how to do it
    Thanks

All you have to do is to Drain the oil from the regulator, if your car has done some 25 to 30k.
There is a screw at the bottom, just drain the oil and tighten the screw up, thats all
This time when you vote make sure you don't vote for your personal gains but for Pakistan's gain, Ultimately it will be your gain a lot more than you desire.

drain oil as c123 has described.

If there is any air blockage installed. check it if it can work fine for time to come otherwise replace it with same one.

after that open (free up) the bolt on "T" attached in between CNG regulator and Air intake entry point.
Now accelerate your car at a constant high RPM and tight up the main screw on T. u will fine out a point where engine starts to crumple because of reduced gas flow. Adjust the position as per your prefernece. (ensure optimum flow of gas)

after that adjust idling (no tool needed in case of landi ranzo)
    adjust as per you liking.

This is CNG tuning, plugs and air cleaner inspection is mandatory in any tuning also Distributor point (if any)

wither u can do it ur self or can take it to the ENERCON 4 computerised tuning as there is no match of mannual adjustment as compared with computerised tuining...

    no trick brother
    this is standard procedure.
Its just the neeyat and honesty with which u do the settings
Most mechanics make sure that customer comes back 3 4 times for small money.
    Otherwise no trick involved anywhere.

    Gentlemen
    Thanks for replying
I actually had lost track of the thread

The person who installed the kit in my car does not ask for moneyand periodically he cheerfully does the setting. i asked for two reasons:
    1. It seemed a simple think
    2. On the road for any reason if one does not like the performance of the car, one may like to tinker a little until access to workshop becomes possible.

Anyway Thanks a lot.....any more input will be welcome

es Gulsher u r rabsolutely right
Considering different pressure and quality of gas at various places.
This skill comes in handy when u r travelling long distances.

    hello!
nice spectra bhai.....its all i do when i am tuning up..... be also tell them to have 21mm plug socket ,one connecting rod and rachet....open up the plugs.....get them cleaned...cost rs 10 ......adjust gap.....and them with slow hand tightened uo the plugs....don't tighnten much bcz they to much tight plugs can cause problem in next time opening...bcz they heated and casted iron expand till some extend.....
also rotate idle knob clockwise to check up for best idle flow oif gas...clockwise decrease it while anti-clockwise increases it.....
    done....
clean air filter from pressure air weekly......
no way your cars can't give max milage on CNG...

    @spectra.
Please can you tell what the 2 screws do. I mean Idling ? and the other one that you explained (air intake) ?
What about the CNG Consumption, does fiddling these two screws adjust that too.
I have a LR kit, and want to race the car up a bit when AC is turned on, how to do it, and will it effect average. One screw is at the top of the kit and the other one at side.

Thanks Bilal for the Full Picture.
Well I am totally "vaila" when it comes to cars, Ive been learning little by little since I joined Pakwheels
Anyways the thing that I wanted to ask was what is "idle" setting, is it when the car is start and at rest ?
and what is Peak Speed Adjustment, when the car is at High speed ?
And what setting is responsible for cars CNG Consumption.
    Thanks again.
Think I am gonna take Panga with my CNG Setting

Peak speed adjustment is responsible mainly for consumption. clockwise rotation decreases gas flow and anti clockwise Increases gas flow
Idling/mixing is responsible for engine apeed at idle. if u feel load with AC adjust where u think it is suitable.

tuning CNG is tricky, takes time and sweat!

According to my experience, either u could go for economy or performance.

set the idling, and i got the best results for performance if u nail the throtle all the way down immediately after a u turn in second gear or goin uphill under 2000 RPM. i used to do this on ma way up the hills. u can rotate the CNG main screw clockwise or anti clock wise to ge the max output.

I think set your car on optimum performance and then learn how to drive the car economically.

I think these experiments might cause engine some serious problems
