CNG is a cheaper solution, But City is at least economical then other cars. Better then Corolla GLi. It nearly destroyed mine.
Bro we have Corrola ALTIS 2010 1.8 automatic and it gives us almost 10km/l in city and moterway 13-14km/l even with A/c....this car has bigger Tyre with original Rim and my brother also drive it lill fast.....but my city has original size tyre with Rim not alloy rim but average in city is 11km/l and 12-12.5km/litre when drive under 2000 Rpm..... i m very disappointed with city on consumption......

a friend of mine got City Steermatic (CVT) and he is using his car on CNG from 3 years and he told me that yaar any day this cvt might fail and the replacement is expensive so lets sale this car. so i took him to Mithu Khan ahata Pindi and we selected same CVT transmission he currently got in his car in brand new condition and pathan was demanding 12k lol and when we had lil argument he came down to 10....

So why people are afraid? Get proper LR parts and you will be fine.
Speed costs money, how fast can you afford to go.

The technical fact is that CNG places great stress on the CVT transmission (which is belt driven). This causes the transmission belt to start slipping thereby causing abnormal wear and tear thus requring a premature a transmission rebuild.
The number of cases in which people did not heed to the technical advice and went ahead with running a CVT Transmission (such as the one in the Vario) on CNG, came to grief latter, as the money they saved by running the cng was spent on rebuilding the transmission.
A CVT transmission is a technical master piece. It is more efficient than a regular gear based transmission ( such as the one in Civic Prosmatic or Corolla Altis). It offers infinite number of gears and hence lower fuel consumption but what it cannot do is to handle reduced power that comes from running an engine on CNG (as it throws the engine/transmission calibration out of balance).
I would strongly reccomend to you that you contact a knowlegeble automobile engineer/technician (perhaps at a proper Honda dealership) and speak to him before going ahead with your decision.
The advise being provided here by many posters, such as the one from muzmil 73, is amatureish, grossly misleading and not based on actual facts/technicalities. i would once again suggest that if u does not know what u r talking about than it is better simply not to comment or offer unsolicited advise.
    Amen to that.
