I want to make it purely LPG thread, and not for comparison, only LPG problems / issues and solutions , thanks for understanding .
per my knowledge, OGRA has only approved TESLA for use in vehicles (I think there is one other approved manufacturer also),
the cost of local assembled kit is PKR 25000.
LPG pressure is around 320 psi compared to 3000 psi of CNG , but same CNG grade 200 bar pipe is used in the installation.
the tank can accommodate up to 50-55 liters of LPG in one fill from complete empty.
regarding economy, I am using tyres in my car which are not very good and are called "Barfani / snow tyres" these tyres have a tremendous friction to road . and on petrol I am getting 9-10 km's in extreme busy city traffic (AC on or off does not seem to have any difference in mileage). and under same driving conditions I am getting 7-8 Km' on LPG. I am sure when i change the tyres and switch to stock size and some light weight version , my mileage can improve some where from 15-25 %. But right now I am using it as reference.
Prior to Ramzan the cost of LPG was around 45 PKR per liter viz 45 / 8 = 5.62 PKR per kilometer, now it is 62 PKR per liter. 62/8 = 7.75 /km. but remember this is 1800 cc. one other guy with japnese ALTO 660 cc told me that he is getting 11 km/liter on LPG. another guy with new shape CITY told me he is getting 9 km / liter. so i am quite satisfied with mileage I am getting from my ALTIS.
BTW the price structure in europe is designed in such a way the users get 25 -30 % relief as compared to petrol. (as I under stand from the internet)
the drive pleasure as compared to petrol is not very much different , gear shifting is very very smooth. Acceleration is top notch. considering it is auto trans. but compared to CNG it is 10 times better in all respect.
