IMHO, oil really doesn't make any difference unless you don't put this type of oils

Synthetic oil is a chemical lubricant specially developed to meet the lubrication requirements of an engine.

A very good example: It is like using hammer (synthetic oil) to nail a nail rather then a brick (Natural oil), the brick will break apart during the accomplishment of the task. You know natural oil start chemically decomposing on its use, while synthetic oil developed to bear the chemical decomposition.

You know the drain interval for natural oil is (3000km) while for synthetic oil it can be up to 15000km (depend on the oil and dirt conditions)

Do not get deceived with Synthetic formula and fully synthetic. Go for fully synthetic oil. i think Best available oil is Mobil1, you can find it in a good shop dealing in motor oils.

Thanks man! nice info.

One more thing. Can you tell me exactly where to find the Mobil1 oil?

And, is TOYOTA GENUINE MOTOR OIL synthetic too?
Is it a good idea to purchase it from their showroom?

@ali
TGMO is not synthetic. If that is what you want, Toyota Oil, then its safest to purchase from a 2S or 3S dealer. But be careful about specs, if its 20W-50, know that its meant if the car will be driven while the temp is 20 C to 50 C (acceptable for KHI, but Id recommend 10W-40).

@Burki

Liqui Moly is good renowned company since 1957.

I do not exactly now if synthetic oil available in Liqui Moly, you can ask the dealer. if it is synthetic then it must be mentioned on the bottle/container.

Conditions in Pakistan is generally dusty, always try to use genuine or the best quality of Air filter available. Air is the only source of dust or contamination in the engine, which eventually contribute in the wear and tear of the engine.

@Ali

Haven't heard about CNG synthetic. i don't think so there is such a difference in CNG and non-CNG oils, it seems a marketing scheme to me...

Which car do you have? and currently which engine oil you are using?

Ok..mileage on the clock? if you have driven considerable number of miles of your car on Natural lubricant then conversion to synthetic oil MAY BE not very much recommended. i have sent you the book, do read about it in detail.

My bro have Santro, he switched to synthetic after some 60000KM, working fine.

All oils are same, its just the brands have different names. Look for API (American Petroleum Institute) grade SL or SM, these are the latest oils and use 20-50W since we live in hot weather. These are the standards which are written on all oils, this SL and SM are made for newer engines. If u want more info read all this on this site
