Default Is petrol necessary for startup in winter

Hi, i run my car on CNG, i heard that in winter car is difficult to start on CNG , so you have yo start on petrol. There are some issues with my car on petrol. i am going to change the battery and want to buy new one. i want to know that after new battery car will start easily in winter or not ?? so that i should convert my car to petrol.

Well starting the car is CNG is not issue when it is properly tuned. I kept a Khyber for five years and never started it on petrol in winters, though the kit used to have frost on it.

Now in EFI cars the process is auto and they start on petrol. In my Xli, the car automatically starts on petrol and as soon as the engine comes to life, it smoothly switches to CNG.

In winters, It is not necessary to start ur vehicle on petrol.
but there should be some petrol in the tank.
if car donot start on CNG, then we have 2nd option.

If battery is in good condition then no need to start on petrol.

If you have a ventury you have a good chance that the car will start on CNG early morning, if you dont then u need to follow my guide ....

Car starting has nothing to do with any of that....

What u need are the following:

1. Spark plugs should be in good life

2. Distribution and HT wires should be in life, and the impedence should be in bounds.

3. The engine should be tuned otherwise, rocker arms / timing belt etc.

If all that is done, then you can try and start it on CNG after donig the following.

1. Adjust the fuel richness of CNG, it should be RICHER than summer.

2. Depending on the car u got, see if u need to choke the air supply.

I have three cars, and all three start perfectly fine on CNG since last 11 years.

But do make sure that all of us need to warm up our cars in the morning before leaving for the journey.

I think it's better just to stop and start your car on petrol and then switchover after the engine has warmed up.

I bought new Battery this Monday due to same problem. I use to start my car on petrol last year which cost me around 500 for a month for just starting the car on petrol and then getting back to CNG. This year i got new battery @ 2,400 (Cost 2,000 rupees aft adjustment of old battery) So its a way cheap then doing my previous practice of starting car on petrol and go a new battery though...

Its Always Since Oil Also Gets Heavy In Morning Due To Cold Weather + So As CNG Is Also Get Effected From Weather...So Petrol In That Way Is Fast Ignitable...!!

In Case Of Carb...Switch Off Car On Petrol....!! In EFi Cars Since They Always Start On Petrol And Switch On CNG So There's No Need To Do So....!!
