@imtiz_ahmed: well i would love to see a 1.6 Vtec giving tough time to a 1.8 ivtec but there is a 9 years of technology difference....
1987 2.0 liter accord engine was i guess 87 BHP and now 1.6 is a 127 BHP...

but i love my car

okay i agree i was wrong was just talking about the theory that 1.6 with light body and 127hp might give tough time to 1.8 little heavy body and 140hp.

BUT

mark x 300g comes with 252 hp........ did you see the difference between 140hp of 1.8 and mark x.

I wonder how on earth is it possible its around 112 hp of difference we are talking about ...

anyways, pl post some pics of your car.

guys guys guys......... civic 2000 cant give the1.8 a hard time cuz its not as light as u think! i have a city 2000 exis, it weighs 960 kg. the 1.8 civic weighs 1230 kg approx, so the 2000 civic isnt as light as u ppl think........ it must weigh around 1150-1200 cuz the new city i-vtec weighs 1150 kg! surely the 2000 civic cant be lighter than that!!!

abt the markX n civic, surely everyone knows that MarkX doesnt come with traction control, thats where the civic takes the lead!
n for the last time, that civic is NOT modified, its the driver behind the wheel who beat that MarkX but thats not the point!

there is a lotsss of difference in power of these two cars (112 hp ... lot more than between 1.6 and 1.8 ( 13 hp only)

so what you are saying is that Mark X does not have traction control and civic has it and because of that the civic can perform as good as a car with 112 hp more than it??????

ahhhhh

NO!! This is not what we meant!! Civic does not have traction control neither does the MarkX.. Its Just CIVIC! Its the driver behind the wheel who can make this possible (defeating a markx)!! that civic is bone stock!

Civic 2000 weighs 1050Kgs and its 1.6 with 127Hp

Latest Civic is 1250Kgs, its 1.8 with 140Hp

Its very hard for Civic 2000 to smoke the 1.8 .....

The 1.8 has some latent energy in it which makes it capable of smokin a MarkX

u didnt understand man...... its easier to control 140hp going to the wheels than to control 252 hp!! get it?? controlling civics tyre spin is easier cuz of 2 reasons, 1) it has less hp, 2) its frontwheels drive so it wont tail out at the launch!

the civic can perform as good as a car with 112 hp more than it??????

yes it can! u saw the video didnt u?? its all abt the driver in such a game where one car is superior than the other! hope u get it

according to my knowledge, the 300G premium only comes equiped with TC, n like some one said this the 250G or 2.5 litre, so it does not have TC! take in account of the weight of the car, the power out put n the fact that its RWD, uve got a tail happy car which is extremely difficult to keep straight at the launch.

civic has 140hp which is alot when compared to similar category cars, but its easier to get rid of tyre spin at the tyre start as compared to the 'BEAST' u call Mark X

civic can beat MarkX from a stand still start in a q/m run! if u dont blv me, ask someone who has actually seen it, e.g Hassan Sualeh!

Let me tell you all once and for all;

It's a D16Y6. Y6 is the economy counterpart of the Y8. Y8 was for the USDM market. D16Y6 comes with an economy head.

The Z6 is the JDM 1.6L SOHC VTEC. It's the 1.6l variant of the D15B VTEC.

The PK6V on the Y6 here is the same engine but stamped that way for the Pakistani market.

Good day.
