Volkswagen New Beetle at Rs 20 lakh

German car-maker, Volkswagen, launched its new vehicle christened the New Beetle, here in India.

The vehicle is priced at Rs 20.45-lakh ex-showroom Delhi.

The car would be imported from Mexico in the CBU format, he said.

The company has 150 confirmed bookings for the New Beetle and its deliveries would start from today, he said

The New Beetle is equipped with a 2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Volkswagen also launched its Touareg, its sports utility vehicle, which was earlier available only on order.

Now it would be stocked in India and hence, readily available, Garg said, adding that its deliveries would also start from December 5.

The Touareg is priced at Rs 51.85-lakh ex-showroom Delhi, he said.

28 laks.. damn expensive. i can pay for this car only 6 laks.nisan march is way better than this.only color is attractive.in 28 laks. i can get marx x.decent mark x

you all think that this car is expensive but justify buying local garbage for up to 18 lacks??? seriously look at what you are getting for your money.

personally i think the new beetle is a joke of a car, but i'd rather drive one of those over ANY local car

(my argument is only valid as long as this car has ALL the safety features the euro models have, if it does not have these features it isn't worth a penny)
