I beleive Civic A/T can do 100 with even lower RPM; even less than 2k if it engages 5th gear @ this speed...I dont have auto Civic; so cannt say for sure how it behaves; but i do know that its gear ratios (fifth gear / final drive etc) are much better than manual Civic! I dont want A vs B argument; I like both these cars...and its good to see Indu$ is now finally offering what it should had offered 2-3 years back. I just want to keep facts straight!
This is also fact that this 1.6L Dual VVTI A/T configuration gives much better fuel consumption figures than 1.8L iVTEC A/T configuration (Y)
the GLi is lighter overall but there is no difference in powerplant or transmission.
new Altis is 1800cc but its written 1.6Liters on the back of Altis, thats confusing.
please tell me about cc of Altis. Also tell me why is it written as 1.6L at the back if it is 1800cc?
I was also impressed by the mileage of this car by driving my friends one and its response of engine. The mileage is even on par with manual city which is very impressive for 1.6 AT car.Remember Automatic.I am also going to buy it in 2months INSHALLAH
Bro New Altis is 1.6Litre means 1600cc Dual VVTi which is in everyway better than previous 1.8 one
When the car completes its 5k Km.s the mileage gets improved.SO the mileage will even more improve

my friend ... i have been driving a Corolla XLI for 3 years ... and its average is 11-12 km/L in city and 15-18 km/L (depending on speed) on motorway ...
i dont understand how a 1.6 A/T could do better ?
