ecotec is available only in 1.3 manual version not 1.6 auto gli
apart from engine and transmission there is no difference in 1.3 and 1.6 gli
oem keyless entry is coming only in altis
if you are planning to install cng then dont go for altis or auto gli , buy ecotec instead but if auto transmission is a compulsion for u then buy AT gli and get it cnged from some official dealer of landi renzo , it will not be as good as ecotec but it will not be a fail as 1.6 gli auto is coming with normal 4 fwd trany so cng should not be a problem
AUTO is not necessary for me.... but i think CNG is .. the reason being CNG is now about 71Rs/kg, but still if u install CNG then u save because of 2 reasons1. Difference in price b/w CNG AND PETROL2. CNG has better fuel consumption (my experience)
do u suggest CNG in ALTIS M/T
Apart from XLI AND GLI 1.3, which other COROLLA is best with CNG and what should be the fuel consumption
brother your observation is right. you get more kms in a Kg of CNG gas as compared to a litre of petrol.
AOAPlz guide having 1000000 bucks i am confused should i go for lease option having New Honda City or New Xli or used Civic 2005 on cash i hav gone through lots of threads abt city rolla comparisons tell me what to do in this scenerio i have learned that city ivtech engine is more friendly with cng then rollas vvti engine bcoz of some head problems and is the city minimum ground clearence issue resolvable plus what do u mean by hard suspension city and soft suspension xli plz explain?::Sthnx
brother, go for the option which is Halaal... lease = interest (sood) = haraam... if you have the option for Halaal, go for it for cash after some time you can get a corolla with saving the money you would have paid for installments.
if auto is not necessary then go for ecotec gli before its production stops due to govt imposed ban on ff cng vehicles.
I have started falling in love with the altis manual, but am confused with its fuel consumption..if it can give me 16-17km/litre in karachi city drive then I would surely inshallah buy it
the other day I went to toyota dealership for 15k checkup of my gli 1.3, it included general checkup n oil/filter change. An Altis 1.6 was also there for oil change so had chat with the owner of that car and asked him about the mileage , told him about experiences of PW users of getting very good mileages but he said that he owns a gli 1.3 also and according to him the 1.6's mileage is not what people are saying. It consumes more fuel than 1.3 but at the same time he added that it may be due to his heavy foot on gas pedal so it made me to counter check the mileage of this car and I am on it so let see what is there in store for me.
go for civic auto trans 2006 ,,,,,,,,,i am also looking for that,,,,,,,,,,,,,
This is the main reason why I am still confused whether to buy the new altis or not, because if it cannot give 15 km/l in karachi city drive then it would be a big burden for me
How much is your car giving in city drive.. New gli engine is better than yours ?
Yes I don't know what is myth around that people on forum are getting good mileages but in real world I met few people who said that it consumes more fuel than the 1.3
My car is giving me 12 or max 13 without AC in city drive10 n max 11 with AC on continously in city drivebut keep in mind that I live in peshawar when I can hardly engage the 4th gear due to the over crowded roads here, most of the drive is in 2nd n 3rd gear so in bigger city like karachi where you have long stretchs of road where you can even engage 5th gear also, you can expect a better mileage then.
Engine of new gli n mine is same I guess. I got a 2010 model.
that average for me comes out to be too much burden on the pocket, as i am getting the following from my XLI 2004 which i bought zero meter and drive with great care (no extra paddling). On CNG i get as follows
IN WINTER (without a/c) 18-19km/kg during city driveIN SUMMER (with a/c) 15km/kg during city drive
I dont drive on highways.. wish i lived in punjab and could drive on the motorways
i m using Corolla xli ecotec from last four months. As far as fuel consumption is concerned, which effects me the most, its too high as compared to honda city because in local it only gives around 120 km per cylinder (60 lit cylinder which cost almost 730 rs of cng). i've spent almost 1.25 lac more just for factory fitted cng car just to have a good millage and better efficiency but couldn't get the same. Also, ecotecs are now banned by the govt. and toyota indus are not producing any of them bcoz of energy crisis. some other things which i didn't like in it is its engine noise which becomes even higher when u r driving it on cng, manual windows, no abs.
the things which i like in it is its cabin size, its better n huge outlook as compared to city, suspension is way too good then city and i really enjoyed driving the car on long drives. in short i can say the car is made for long drives and in locals its pathetic.
overall i m not satisfied with the car.
