I am using Curistronic 1.6 2011 for more then two months now. Previous being Gli 2010. Car was changed as wanted to shift to auto transmission. Am surely enjoying the drive; far superior then Gli. The Altis 1.6 (auto) for sure is not a performance car with respect to acceleration, otherwise it gives a wonderful experience as cruising on the road. Mine is SR as well, so the drive feels heavier then Gli 1.3, and even at 170 km/hr (touched once or twice - not really fond) you feel confident with the road grip (dunlop sports - stock size). The pleasure in driving, for surely has revived after switching on to Altis. Haven't taken this one on hikes yet, but the Gli (with boot fill, 2 adults and 3 kids) felt a little underpowered while driving to Nathiagali from Abbottabad. Though, went very smooth to Naraan few months back. Altis with 1.6, though auto, shouldnt give any such adverse feeling though (as yet to visit). Fuel consumption in local wuold be somewhere 9.5 to 10.5 km/litre (with ac) and for long around 14 and plus (depends on driving style).
Nevertheless, I never thought Cruise control would be this much fun on motorways. It takes control and adds the pleasure in drive.
