Mohtaram @ferrari10 Sahib,
When you say 2.5 million (25 lacs), I suppose you are referring to the cost of the current Honda Civic. Sir, I would like to correct the Maths here, the total cost of the current Honda Civic, fully loaded, is Rs. 2.73 million (Rs. 27 lacs and 30,000), including registration fee. Now this is a lot of money. But I won't go for a C180 if I don't know the history of the car. Remember brand-new stuff is brand-new.
I wonder when our auto policy will head in the right direction. We have to rely on bottom-feeders to purchase a car. A car is such an asset in Pakistan. It is quite an expensive commodity. We can't afford brand-new Mercs in Pakistan and some cheap bottom-feeders in the UK make a fortune out of tricking us into buying their odometer rolled back stuff. Then, skeptical people like me have no choice but to go for a brand-new Civic instead of a doubtful C180.
My apologies to all those who are into the business of selling used Mercedes C Class. I know not everyone is like that. There are honest people in our society but you can count them on your fingers.
I gather that the plight of our country which it currently finds herself in is quite alarming. The government is so distant from the problems of her people. Just look at the buyers of the Amnesty Scheme vehicles. They are in limbo with nowhere to go.
There is no let-up in load shedding, inflation, unemployment or lawlessness. We are being offered only lolly pops like 'Metro Bus Service' which will prove such a problem for the environment. Just imagine 0.7 billion dollars being spent on a bus service when the whole country is so crash-starved. They should get their head examined because they can't set their priorities right.
Do you expect any good from such an incompetent top brass, let alone the formulation of a sane auto polity? Nonsense.
Allah hamaray mulk ko bachaa kay rakhay, Amen! Iss waqt hamara mulk intahaa kay naliaq aur na-ahal hukamrano kay chungal main phass gaya hay. Allah jald nijaat ka band-o-bast karay. Amen!
Regards.
