mubeenshahid & fazalwahab11375,
Sorry brothers, I really do not mean to be a stickler about my point of the negativity of CVT and all that, so pardon my lenghty rebuttal.
However, you both are speaking of reviews of the US market and the world and all that, whereas I humbly speak merely of Pakistan. Or PKDM cars to be more precise
How many PKDM cars have you heard of with CVT since forever? I'll tell you; just one - and that'd be the steermatic Honday City. Any idea why there are no other examples of a local CVT scene?
Try this on: mantaining it sucks and repairing it is practically impossible. A full replacement is required if it gets spoiled in the wrong way, and CNG is not an option at all. OK, scratch the CNG part since it CNG is lame anyhow.
But seriously, look into why CVT isn't that popular with local manufacturing, and also about the issues faced with the few local products as well as the majority of those coming in from abroad, and my argument may make just a little more sense.
Especially considering that I'm not basing my bias on reviews
If not; well then, I guess we can just choose to disagree with no hard feelings.
PS: Time will tell!!
