Okay so we a family of four and a driver went to Lahore from Islamabad on our 1.3 GLi AT, first ever long journey of this car, we went via Motorway.
I drove 75% of the journey both while going and coming back and in Lahore I was driving the car most of the time.
The "under-powered" claimants weren't present otherwise they would've been put to shame considering their ridiculous argument of the old 2nzfe engine with 4 speed automatic gearbox. I am sharing the pics below of the fuel average at different speeds.
Alhamdulillah not even once the car felt lagging power or refusing to move, it performed really well, has better throttle response than City AT with full load, i.e., 5 passengers and trunk full of luggage.
As it was a bit warm so AC was always turned on, at day for cooling and at night for defogging purposes, the car was driven around 805 km when we left Islamabad and now it's reading is above 1600 km, didn't check the current reading exactly.
The tricky drive was in the Salt Range. While going towards Lahore, it is downward slope at a steep angle, I drove the car in 3 and mostly 2 mode, Alhamdulillah it crossed the area real smooth, and while returning, it is uphill type drive, then again I drove the car in 3 and mostly 2 mode with a heavy foot and slightly higher speed, pata bhi nahi chala Salt Range guzar kab gai.
Fuel average varied between 13-17.5 km/l depending on how the throttle styles varied, in Salt Range while returning it dropped to 12.8 but quickly went above 13 km/l when road got level again.
Any questions/criticism most welcome.
Here you go with the pics.
