Bhaiyo, I am having this issue with braking in my grande.
When I press the brake pedal at slow speeds coming to a rest (think of it like from 40 km/h to zero) - I hear a strange sound from the discs like some sort of abrasive grating or grinding, some metallic parts being scratched against one another. This sound is unnoticeable when braking at higher speeds also noting that this sound starts coming after driving the car for about 2 to 3 minutes i.e. after applying a few brakes.
I raised this issue up at the 5000 km checkup where the mechanic said it was due to some plate which he pulled back into place, but the noise did not go away. I took it to the senior mechanic again the next day at Toyota Rawal who checked the front wheels completely using a dial gauge to check the rotor surface as well, all of which was fine - discs pads had plenty of the "ceramic" braking material available as well.
I would be taking it again to the workshop but anyone having any clues as to what can be the problem here.
Thanks in advance
