I have been following Autophile's thread silently. You have indeed done a marvellous job. You have helped a lot in every matter and prepared the potential Altis users for an amazing experience. Just got my Altis 1.6 delivered last night. I, too, was one of those who initially opted for the 1.3 GLi A/T. But after reading reviews and hearing the tremendous amount of recommendations, i switched my order to 1.6. The Drive is indeed amazing. the transmission is soundless and the cabin is more spacious than the 10th Generation Corolla. Will be installing the Sygic Maps according to Autophile's review soon. For Karachi Users, The registration cost for the Filers is 52,700/-. I ordered my Car in the start of March and was thrilled to find out i'll be receiving my vehicle with the added goodies. The new features are (new gray colored Alloy rims (Same design, i think), Ofcourse the Immobilizer(The Best Part), Keyless Entry, Body Colored Mudflaps, And the same old In-Dash Entertainment system with the addition of CD/DVD feature). The wait was long lasting and the threads on Pakwheels kept me busy and mentally prepared for everything. Eurostar tires are noisy but i'll be keeping them for now, as my past experience with them hasn't been bad. They are not as bad as everyone thinks they are. I have used other, better tires...yes they are better but then....chai mein jitni cheeni daalo ge utni chai meethi hogi.....The inner door fabric catches dust and other suspended particles and fibres very quicky, so watch out for that if you want to keep your car clean. I have no comments on the fuel economy as the ODO is still in it's infant stage, i'm currenly getting 7.6 km/ltr, but looking forward to it getting improved signifcantly with time and mileage. In the end, i would to to thank @autophile for an amazing review and i hope you and all the other Altis 1.6 owners enjoy their ride, the extra over GLi is worth it!
