The fruits of today's labour were ruined by a stupid biker who stopped his bike into my car's rear on a wide road where I had to brake suddenly due to two confused drivers ahead who suddenly decided to go dead stop for no reason and there was no congestion (near Centaurs underpass). The speed was even 20-30 kms/hr. I floored the brake, ABS kicked in big time and car just stopped inches before the car ahead, but then bang from rear. This is happening with me fourth time. Previous three accidents I had on my 9th Gen were all on my car's rear end.
I stopped the car in the middle, switched on hazards and checked the rear end saw some scratches. Told the biker what was he thinking and why he was sticking to my tail or he had any concept of safe distance. Then seeing his condition, I let him go. When I reached home my son noticed that the left tail light (the part which is on trunk) had been broken. Bumper is also pressed on a spot and many scratches. So basically the job at hand is to replace the tail light and may be the entire bumper. Further damage, if any, may be visible in the morning.
Alhamdolilah everything is fine. Cars get hit when they are on road. Though it is a great inconvenience to take the car to workshop again and again. Sometimes cars are stuck in paint booth for weeks. But that is part of game.
