Cylinders being bored at 1.00,,,,,,,,,,,,i also bore the cylinder on 1.00 , i jump from 0.5 to 1.0 because previous owner has really gave a long long run on that engine , if you change just rings , then next time when you bore you have to jump one above , like in my case instead of 0.75 i go to 1.0 , but i havent measure the bore on my own and thats why the kharadiya tell me and atleast i cant trust ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but tell me what piston brand you are using ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ART is the best one in suzuki if you manage to find the original one,,,,,,,,,,,,,there cost was 2600 Rs ,,,,,taiwan piston are also good , i am using taiwan
,,,,,,,,cylinder bore cost 450 Rs
Main/Big end at 0.50,,,,,,,,,,,,,make it sure that its all done with 100% accuracy from an expert kharadiya,,,,,,,the original crank bearings cost 1200 Rs , chinese also work well
Thrust at 0.125,,,,,,,kharadiyas are not good in griding this part of crank,,,,,,,,,,,mostelly they end up in grinding the thrust bearing with sand paper ,,,,,,,,,,,,,crank grinding cost 500 Rs
Head faced
block faced,,,,,,,,if your car gave water bubbles from radiator then this is must ,,,,,,,,,but i guess block will only be ambry polish,,,,,,,,,,,,i remember cost of head face ws 500 Rs
new valve seating and grinding,,,,,,,,,,,,why change valve seats ? you make a mistake ,,,,,,,,,,they make seats out of cast iron which is not capable enough to use in valve seats ,,,,,,,,,,,original seats which are i guess not availabe spare are made of very special kind of metal,,,,,,,,,,and also they are punched in place by heating and freezing process ,,,,,,,mean freeze the seats in liquid nitrogen and at the same time heat the head area which holds the seats,,,,,,,,,,,,if valve seats are damaged then you must change the whole head ,,,,,,,,,
new valve guides fitting,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, must use japanese,,,,,cost dont know , i havent change them , they were ok
Lathe job cost: 3000/- is that the cost of engine assambling ?
Parts procured till now
new valve and valve guides
new oil pump kit,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it will cost you 400 Rs , chinese one is ok
new water body,,,,,,i havent change it but if its leaked then change it
new piston/rings,,,,,,,,,,,,,ART pistons and NPR rings ,,,,,,,,,,,,,i prefer NPR rings
valve seals,,,,,,,,,,,,never compromise on seals ,,,,,,use NOR or corteco ,
main/big end bearings/thrust bearing
Cost: 10,400/-
Question: I have not worked on hydraulic lifters before, can you please explain the installation/service process and any special precautions related to hydraulic valve lifters.
well i also have the first chance of hyudralic lifters,,,,,,,,,at first i plan to grind the valve and valve seals on my own , i take all the stuff to machine shop and there they build it on a flow ,,,,,,so i mis the chance of building valve and seals ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they have a guage to measure the valve leagth , they measure the length by putting the valve in its place and measure it from the other end ,,,,,,,,,,,,,i dont know what scale they have for all that ,,,,,,,,,i try to investigate by they havent showed up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but you need to service the sets of small pistons in the lifters,
is it posible for you to share all that engine overhaulling on this thread ,,,,,,,if so then this will be a complete thread of cultus including each and every part/bolt
