I owned mehran 06 which i have sold few days back. Now i am planning to buy a cultus 2003/4/5 model. I like these models because of better built quality and 3 cylinder carburator engine. Guidence needed regarding maintenance, pricing and pros n cons of these models... guide me guys...
What is your budget?
Upto 500k... 5 lakh...
made for CNG - go for it...it will be as simple as a carby mehran, dirt cheap maintenance and halwa for even a motorcycle mechanic..
i plan buying one too next year
Hmm... me too... IA... now tell me which model and how much price??? And what all to check in cultus???
Which city are you in
Right now i am in krachi... but i am multan based... and IA buy the car from multan
Cultus is a very good family car if you do not have to move with full family with full baggage. I owned 2006 model and drove 88 K on CNG (occasionally on petrol) fully satisfied. Just timely change engine oil, oil filter, air filter and fuel filter and that all. Do not push throttle to hard and here you go..
From multan, 5 is a decent budget for a 2003-2004 model
Hmm... thanks for advice... can you please tell me what all to be checked while buying a cultus...
Exterior paint, body of the car, engine condition, suspension, gearbox. The vehicle has no loopholes or weak points which might be looked into
Thanks dear

carby cars need regular doze of mechanics, most of mechanics would wipe away if there are only efi cars...so if you buy carby car, you will have to visit its doctor regularly for minor minor things...if possible go for japanz car
Nice tip btw. Actually i was facing budget constraints... but now i have delayed my plan for a year or so to go for japanese in 2017 IA... i kept carby mehran which i sold away last month. I being a mechanical engineer used to tune it up n maintain myself. I love carbi as well. As in our dusty n smoky envoronment efi is a risk... not talking about posh areas. I belong to a village..
dust bi sirf carb gari ko hi tang krti he....efi ko kuch hota dust se
Curby one has lots of loopholes to look into especially the over heating issue, and it problematic curb due to untrained and idiot mechanics here.
raise your budget and get an EFI one if you really want peace of mind. curby cultus is too old now, good cars are available but are insanely high on price, Carby cultus tend to get overheating problem due to poor maintenance. and a car with sound carburetor is also a rare thing to come across these days.
Never heard or experienced any overheating issue with both my carby cultus(s) over my 12 years of ownership
Generally it has over heating problem sir.
